Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's leaders to end hunger at home and abroad.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This morning I had the pleasure of worshipping with my family at Saint Andrew Christian Church in Olathe, KS. It is the congregation where I hold my membership, as well as the congregation where Chuck serves as pastor to youth and their families. I haven’t been there for worship since July, so it was excellent to be with them today. On top of that, it was an opportunity to hear their guest, Rev. Dr. Stephen Cady (President of Brite Divinity School in FW Texas - one of my alma maters) teach adult education and preach. Let me tell you, it is a brave and humble act for a pastor to invite Dr. Cady to preach, because he is INCREDIBLE. Easily one of the best preachers I’ve ever heard. He’s also a faithful leader asking tough questions about how to encourage and train seminarians for a rapidly changing Church and world. One takeaway for all of us: if we want to see more people enter ministry, we have to be the best Church we can be (so that they can have some POSITIVE experiences in church), and we need to tell people when we see they have gifts for ministry. 🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿

Land rights are central to dignity, livelihoods and the right to food.

Join Idrissa Jerry our Communication officer tomorrow morning on PROBE MEDIA SL to discuss “User Rights or True Ownership?” from a human rights perspective.

Our call is clear: land reform must protect farming communities, uphold women’s land rights and ensure meaningful participation. Responsible land governance must strengthen people’s ability to feed themselves.

🎙️Follow PROBE MEDIA SL and join the conversation.

SiLNoRF Joins Fellow Peace Network Members in Makeni to Celebrate International Day of Peace 2026

The Sierra Leone Network on the Right to Food (SiLNoRF) joined fellow members of the Civil Peace Service Network – Sierra Leone in Makeni to commemorate the International Day of Peace 2026 under the theme: “Invest in Peace: For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.”

SiLNoRF was represented by Deputy National Coordinator, Mr. Abass J. Kamara; CPS Project Officer, Mariatu Mansaray; and SiLNoRF Communications Officer, Idrissa Jerry Kargbo.

At SiLNoRF, we believe that the Right to Food, responsible land governance, justice and equitable access to natural resources are essential foundations for sustainable peace.

When people’s rights are respected and communities have fair access to land and food, peace and social cohesion are strengthened.

Peace is also about rights, justice and dignity.

U.S. food insecurity hit a decade high in 2024, affecting 13.7% of households and rising for the third consecutive year.

And that’s the gap this post is about. An F4F chapter is made up of students who believe that the numbers don’t have to keep rising and that food/essential items should be accessible to everyone, always.

What if your school joined in to help fight the hunger gap🤔

Comment “CHAPTER” and we’ll DM you info on how to start with F4F, or hit the link in our bio!
