This Pink October, our little pink choux stands for something bigger than sweetness. It’s a reminder to support one another, celebrate the strength of women, and stand together in the fight against breast cancer.

For every woman fighting, every survivor, every loved one supporting, and every life touched by breast cancer, this one is for you. 💕✨

Stronger together, always. 💗 #pastry #pinkoctober #womansupportingwomen #pastrycheflife #sydneylocal

Sharing Bread
Sharing Stories
Sharing Life🥖❤️

There is something deeply beautiful about the culture I grew up in.

In Italy, bread was never just bread
at my nonna’s table, it was part of everything, the long lunches, the loud conversations, the laughter, the stories told a hundred times that somehow never got old.

Because when you share good bread with people you love, something magical happens.

You slow down
You talk a little longer
You share stories, pieces of your life, laughter and dreams 🦋
and without even realising it, you create memories.

So next time you’re invited to someone’s home, bring a beautiful loaf of bread 🥖

The kind you tear apart with your hands, pass around the table and enjoy together.

Because the most beautiful moments in life are often the simplest ones

Good bread @breadfern.bakery is made to be shared so is life. ❤️#sourdough #breadoflife #sharingthelove #breadstagram

Breadfern Bakery in Redfern is one of those local bakery spots we keep going back to.

They’re especially known for their famous banoffee pie, and it’s easy to see why. Soft, creamy, full of banana and caramel flavour, but still not too heavy.

We also tried their pistachio croissant, a savoury pie, and a vegetarian pizza slice with cheese, tomato, capsicum and basil.

The pistachio croissant was flaky, crunchy and rich, while the savoury options were perfect with coffee.

A lovely little bakery stop in Redfern if you love pastries, coffee and local Sydney bakeries.

POV: pineapple just got a glow-up. 🍍✨

Crunchy sweet pastry.
Roasted coconut cream.
Caramelised pineapple & lime.
Whipped pineapple ganache.

Tropical. Tangy. Creamy. Crunchy.
Basically… summer in a tart. ☀️🥥🍍 #pastry #pineapplecake #summervibes☀️ #pastrycheflife #sydneylocal

@breadfern.bakery offers a range of freshly baked goods and cold sandwiches, perfect for an easy weekend brunch
-
🥪 Corned beef(?) sandwich - simple but ingredients were fresh
🥧 Lamb pie - lovely pastry shell filled with generous amount of rosemary-scented lamb
🥨 Pistachio cinnamon scroll - pistachio spread was a little too sweet for me, as the dough was quite sweet as well
-
@breadfern.bakery is a cute corner shop in Redfern, just a short walk from the station. I usually enjoy sitting and eating outside cafes but it was less pleasant here as the tables were not cleaned and rubbish littered the area, not to mention the fumes from the busy road. I'd suggest getting a takeaway and eating in the park

Today I had the privilege of attending an R U OK? event with @socialsouphq and @ruokanyday and I walked away with a reminder that has stayed with me.

We often ask “How are you?” without really stopping to hear the answer. Life is busy, we’re busy, and sometimes we assume the people around us are okay because they look like they are.

But a genuine “Are you OK?” can open a door.

It can be the beginning of a conversation someone didn’t know they needed. It can remind someone that they’re seen, they’re heard and they don’t have to carry everything alone.

And the most important part? It doesn’t have to be R U OK? Day to ask.

Check in with your friend. Your sister. Your partner. Your mum. The person you haven’t heard from in a while. Even the person who always seems like they have it all together.

Ask the question. Listen to the answer. And check in again. 💛
