Still kind of blown away that Chef José Andrés stopped by @mazehnl last night. He came in late just for drinks, but despite everything he’s accomplished, he was genuinely one of the most gracious and kind chefs I’ve ever met. He was thankful for every small thing we sent out and spent time talking with the team about techniques, kitchen setups, cooking, and service. What really stayed with me was how present and generous he was with everyone in the room. This is someone who has fed people during wars, natural disasters, and some of the hardest moments imaginable through World Central Kitchen — someone who has had a real impact on the world far beyond restaurants — yet he still took the time to encourage cooks and connect with people like an old friend. It was a reminder that the chefs who leave the biggest mark on the world are often the ones who lead with the most humility, empathy, and generosity. Very grateful he took the time to stop by and share a little bit of himself with us. A really inspiring night for me and the team. @chefjoseandres
