Our @swsardinefestival experience started at the beginning of July!

We were thrilled to be involved in designing sardines in primary schools and then building the 2 x 3 metre long sardines and 10 x 1 metre long sardines for the procession and the grilled sardines for the bars!

The procession through Brixham led by @breakbeatbandits @mitchseafood @matt.tebbutt @andreevacchelli75 and the @therockfishuk team was so fun & joyful!

Its been full on month of making, gluing, designing and painting with @markbellartist and we can't wait for 2027!

Well done to the whole team for an incredible day yesterday - Brixham was absolutely buzzing!

WOW. Brixham, there are no words!! But let’s try and find some...

Yesterday, over 3,500 (!!) people came down to Brixham Harbour for a humble sardine, and we served over 10,000 of them!! If there was any doubt that us “fussy Brits” have an appetite for its own magnificent fish, then surely yesterday we put it to rest.

This festival doesn’t happen without a lot of people chipping in. HUGE thank yous to every chef who travelled down, fired up a grill and cooked behind those scorching grills in the midday sun! To the bands, the street performers and the speakers who brought top-tier entertainment all day. Our incredible volunteers and all of our sponsors.

And of course, the biggest THANK YOU to the community of Brixham. A celebration isn’t possible with support and good vibes, and you brought that and so much more.

The humble sardine has been overlooked for too long. Two summers celebrating it in Brixham and we’re only just getting started. Same time next year, yeah??

We are so excited to announce our musical line-up for this year’s Sardine Festival! Some brilliant local artists will provide us with the soundtrack of the day. Take a look at the line-up and timings below and swipe through to find out a little bit about each performance.

12:00 - 13:30 Yonder folks
13:45 - 15:15 Cole & Ward
15:30 - 17:00 Nick Tilley
17:15 – 18:15 Ben Tonks
18:30 - 19:30 Break Beat Bandits
19:30 - 21:00 Sam & the Strings

Devon husband-and-wife duo with guitar, uke, mandolin and kick drum between them. Their own songs, some old favourites, and harmonies that only come from years of singing together.

Blues, country and Southern soul. Mark on vocals and guitar, Liam on a seriously good harmonica. A classic “one more song” kinda band.

One of the best guitarists in the country, played all over the world, now lives in Torbay. Just watch his hands and listen to the sweet melodies.

Brazilian bossa nova and MPB with the laid-back warmth of a Lisbon summer night. The sound these festivals were made for, and the perfect bridge between the harbour and wherever your mind drifts to.

Brazilian samba drums meets club classics to create an explosive carnival atmosphere guaranteed to get everyone on their feet!

Big rhythms, big vocals, party favourites and crowd-pleasing classics to close the day’s live music in style
