AD is our Starting Center. So we are back to lock in our starting Power Forward.

*Important*: LeBron will be back in the next part as the starting SF in 2024-25, in case you guys were wondering if he will.

Alex Caruso is officially our backup point guard — and with that, the entire bench is complete. ✅

Now it’s time for the fun part: building the starting five. 👀

We’re starting at center.

One important note: Dwight Howard was the Lakers’ starting center in 2012-13, but since he already earned the backup-center spot on this roster, Pau Gasol takes the 2012-13 nominee slot here.

And don’t worry — if Pau doesn’t win this spot, he’ll be back in the running when we get to starting power forward.

15 seasons. 15 roster spots. One player from each season.

Who gets the starting center spot? 👇

Follow @lakerverse_daily so you don’t miss the rest of the starting five.

Nick Young gets the 8th spot and is our bench wing. Time to choose yet another rotational piece, preferably a backup guard.

*2011-12 Lakers only had 14 players, hence Matt Barnes makes a second appearance

Kobe would’ve turned 48 today.
Still wild looking at everything he did:
18x All-Star
15x All-NBA
12x All-Defensive
5x champ
2x Finals MVP
2x scoring champ
1x MVP
33,643 points
Those numbers are crazy, but what I always remember most is how hard he went and how much he made the rest of us want to go harder too.
Rest easy, my goat forever The Black Mamba. 🐍🙏🏽🕊️
