Woahhh. I just finished my freshman year of college and it feels so surreal. Blessings I never deemed possible for my life naturally just fell in my lap. Within 4 days of being on campus I became the President of the minority program for my class, in October I co-hosted a fashion show, by mid-November I had become a Presidential Ambassador & a 2019 Orientation Leader, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA💛📚 I worked on my gift (speaking) by performing several times, and at the end of the school year I was awarded the “Emerging Star” award💫
Although my success was very sweet and glamorous I faced several challenges, I bumped my head several times, my faith was tested as well as my character, and loosing my grandmother in January left a sharp pain in my heart like no other.
But with the help of my friends, family, and the power of resilience I survived and most importantly I thrived under pressure (because that’s what diamond’s do😉) definitely not perfect, but always striving to become a better me. I’m thankful for the growth that this school year has internally helped me to produce and I’m beyond grateful for all of the new bonds I’ve formed as well as older bonds I got a chance to rekindle💛 I give all the glory to God!! 1 year down, 3 to go. #MoreToCome
