my little texas heart was full to the brim that night. 🤠🍹

when @nickelcitybar comes to Denver for a pop up at @ladyjanedenver, you already know i’m kicking my boots up and staying till way past my bedtime on a monday. and that is exactly what happened. 🤠

a little fun fact about me and @stuartwvr- we’re both from small towns in central texas. so getting to share a night like this, with people who have become family, in a city we both now call home (for now 😔). 🤍

and listen. y’all already know about my banana swizzle era. ask Stuart about the time i was absolutely spiraling over one. well. here i am on the other side of that, drinking banana foam like it’s the most natural thing in the world. funny how life comes full circle. 🍌

now let’s talk about this menu because @wild_panda303 and @socialmediaislostonme absolutely crushed it with these sippies!

🥃 Dr. Pepper Old Fashioned — @bulleit Bourbon, Dr. Pepper reduction, Montenegro, orange bitters, Angostura bitters. a texas girl’s dream.

🍌 Banana Split Boulevardier — strawberry, cacao & dark chocolate-infused @bulleit Rye & Cocchi Torino, Giffard Fraise du Bois, Italian liqueur, banana foam. i need this in my life permanently.

🍸 Dirty Martini — EVOO @ketelone & Tanqueray No. Ten, olive shrub, olive brine, fino sherry, MSG solution. dirty done right.

presented by @bartendermagazine. 🥃

Stuart- i will see you monday for your going away party. and @nickelcitybar- i will see you the first weekend of November in ATX. 🤠🍹

And speaking of what’s next: we can’t wait for next week’s Taste of Parker Food Festival! 500 people and 30+ businesses will come together for an epic evening of incredible local food, drinks, and unbeatable vibes. We can’t wait!!!

My first Grand Testing on the books!!
We came, we drank, we ate, and we sweat! 😅🥵🤌🏼😘

I know, a Denver native who’s never been to the grand tasting, Crazy right?? In my defense, this is my first year since moving back home in 2018 that I’ve actually been in town for the event! And let me tell you, I don’t plan on missing it again!

I normally don’t love to go to these festivals or outdoor food vendor events, which is probably why you don’t see a lot of of them on my feed. But I have to tell you, I was so impressed with the vendors at this event!
so many great wine and cocktail vendors as well as more N/A options and I’ve ever seen at a festival!

Huge props to every single vendor, volunteer, and festival employee who was out there all day and night setting up, working and tearing down in that heat! You are the real heroes!

Last week’s Yelp Elite event at @gattaradenver was unforgettable! 🎉 The team treated our Elites to a dazzling showcase of their signature wood fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, and elevated Italian cuisine. 🍕🍝 Every bite—from the perfectly charred margherita to the decadent truffle pasta—was pure magic. Fan favorites? The frutti di mare risotto was a standout, and the house-made tiramisu was the perfect finish! 😋

Events like this are an amazing way to spotlight outstanding local restaurants. Huge thanks to Gattara for sharing their passion for Italian flavors and making our Yelp community feel right at home! 🇮🇹✨

A night out with the girls + little nostalgia + really good cocktails and bites is apparently all it takes to make me happy 😂

I had such a fun night at @adventuretimebar for Grace Tomczak’s Spotlight tasting! Her “Return to Normalcy” menu took us on a little trip through time with 6 original cocktails, paired bites and the stories behind each one. Such a cool way to experience a cocktail tasting and Grace absolutely killed it.

And there are still 3 Spotlights left this summer! Every Sunday through August 23rd, a different Denver bartender takes over for a guided tasting from 5–7pm. 🍸

Next one is tomorrow, August 9th so if you’ve been wanting to check it out, tickets are in the bio at @adventuretimebar

Imagine if Willy Wonka just jumped behind the bar and started making cocktails that spoke to your inner child… well now you don’t have to imagine it! Welcome to the new theme at @adventuretimebar on South Broadway!!

I caught the last days of their neon future city theme, which was AWESOME!! So when I heard they closed to fully transform the space again, I was curious how they’d top it. And boy did they!!!

Enter: Candy Land

Giant gummy bears hanging from the ceiling, a snozzberry wall that ACTUALLY smells like Froot Loops, the Candyland board game painted across the floor, and a literal “Wonka-vator” moment into the fizzy lifting room. It’s playful without feeling cheesy and you genuinely feel transported the second you walk in.

But let’s talk about the real reason you go… the drinks.

These guys are full-on mad scientists.
And even though it is a Candy and Sweets theme, nothing is overly sweet, everything is dialed in:
Neapolitan ice cream sundae cocktail, a flash-frozen coconut, and one of my favorites… the bitter chocolate Negroni.

Denver doesn’t get a ton of bars that commit this hard to both experience and execution… and they’re switching it up every quarter. So catch this one before it’s gone!!

A stellar time was had at @bohemian.biergarten 🍻 a locally owned gastropub that celebrated its 13th anniversary in Boulder! Yelp Elites savored popular dishes like the Jagerschnitzel, Fish and Chips, Polish Pierogies, and Das Pretzel—all pairing perfectly with their robust Czech bier list.

Huge thanks to Bohemian Biergarten owners, Angelie and Zdenek, and the entire team for their hospitality and generosity on a Monday night. Here’s to more nights centered around community, liters of Czech bier, and savory Reuben sandwiches!
