This year a bit more elaborate birthday post from me than other years. Where it sometimes felt like a slow year but looking back many things have happened and changed. Where I finally officially started my own company. Something I had been working on for a long time and I am happy with the progress that has been made and all the great people I have gotten to know because of it on my journey. A journey with its ups and definitely its downs but also a journey I enjoy and will continue on. I have gotten to see my sister become a mother this year. This has been a real pleasure getting to spend time with my new nephew but also to see the boundless love my sister has for her son♥️. And he has also been a great recovery buddy in the last weeks since I had surgery on my other hip 3 weeks ago. Where the recovery was slow in the beginning with quite some pain. Because of this surgery I also maybe played some of my last matches (I do hope to get to play again) at 2 great clubs this season and still coached some matches at my other club @bcadliswil .These are clubs I am grateful for to have gotten to play for since it has always been a great pleasure when I had to play! Also did I have my first experience of living together with a roommate for the most part of last year. Where the place we lived in was amazing the company of @steefvanwooning was also always great (when he was there 😜😘). So this will be an experience I will never forget. Next to this I have been getting more and more serious about my journey as a coach. And enjoying my journey on guiding others improving their game but also helping them to enjoy the game. To learn to love to play and not worry about stress or other things out of your influence. Next to all these things there were also many other small moments which made last year a memorable one so I am looking forward to the next!

2024: The year of countless great memories with the best people around me, for which I am so grateful.🥰🥰🥰❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
I’ve tried to sum up a few special moments:

• Getting pregnant and finding out just 3 days before the National Championships.🤰🏼
•Still claiming the women’s doubles national title, even after I stopped training full-time in April 2022. 🏸🥇
•A bigger family means a bigger apartment. 🏠🔑
•Starting a new job on May 1st, as mom life requires a different lifestyle.
•A registered partnership with the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.❤️
•The best surprise baby shower I could wish for.🥰
•The biggest highlight: the birth of our son, Miles.🩵
•Family trips to 🇨🇭, 🇸🇪, and 🇫🇷 (Miles’ first holiday outside my belly).
•Our first Christmas with the little man.🎄

Goodbye 2024: by far the craziest year of my life so far. Can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring us. 🥰
