This certificate means that my medical education in Mexico is now officially recognized in the U.S. 🇲🇽🇺🇸🩺

That’s the technical part. But to me, it means something else.

Sometimes life changes the road you spent years building, and suddenly you have a choice: choose a different path or find your way back. Starting over gave me that choice, and my heart kept leading me back to medicine. Maybe that is what a calling is: when God places something in your heart, somehow you keep finding your way back to it.

And you don’t find your way back alone. I’ve been blessed with the support of my family, my husband, my mentors, and my friends in so many different ways. People who prayed for me, encouraged me, and sometimes saw something in me when I had trouble seeing it myself.

My heart is deeply grateful 🤍

Took the dog to the Mariners game Thursday. Came back the next night to see the fireworks. Julio went 4-for-5 the the game winning home run. T-Mobile Park continues to be one of the better fireworks shows I've ever seen. I love my little family.
