There’s nothing like the strength, humor, and heart of women. So grateful to be one and to have women like this in my life. Happy International Women’s Day.

One of the best showcase houses ever. Had an amazing time celebrating with all of the incredible industry partners. It is certainly a must see house.

Not only is she one of my dearest friends and my neighbor, @brendawestphal also owns the most beautiful design showroom in town, @ajmaison, which is pretty sweet (and dangerous!) when you love to decorate like I do!

It’s always a treat to stop into her showroom and view her terrifically curated collection of goods. I always leave inspired and usually with plans to recover another piece of furniture! 😉

Double tap if you also love to decorate!

After traveling together in Italy this summer, my neighbor and fellow lover of entertaining, @brendawestphal and I hosted a dinner party inspired by a special meal we shared in Rome.

As usual, we fussed over the perfect table setting filled with my collection of etched glass and Brenda’s heirloom flatware. The final touch was the stunning dahlia centerpiece from @thefoundryhomegoods.

From the meatballs drowning in homemade tomato sauce that we cooked for three days, to buttery parmesan-filled gnocchi and, finally, @cossettas’ heavenly hazelnut cake - the richness carried over into meaningful conversations and plenty of laughs. It truly was the perfect way to welcome fall.

Still dreaming of our time spent together in Italy this summer, so my neighbor and fellow entertaining lover, @brendawestphal and I recreated a special meal we shared in Rome for special friends on a beautiful evening. Here are a few shots from our weekend dinner party. ✨ #ladolcevita

A highlight of our time in Italy was having my dear friend, @brendawestphal, and her family join us for a week.

Brenda and I were both raised in small towns and now live two doors apart in Minneapolis. We share the same love of travel and the joy that comes with making memorable experiences.

Between our time spent in the cucina preparing meals, hunting for the perfect new handbag or playing cards with our kids on the train - our time together in such a beautiful place is one (of many!) memories neither of us will ever forget.

Happy #floralfriday everyone - do you get to escape anywhere this holiday weekend?

We are staying put, but I’m going to enjoy living vicariously through my friends, including one who has lunch at The Ivy in her sights.

I just stumbled across this little sketch from a long-ago trip to LA and realized that vacation sparked a whole series of paintings. Need to have it framed, such good memories of fun with girlfriends!

Whether you’re going somewhere new or reliving past escapes, I hope you have the most wonderful weekend. Cheers! 🥂

Gone are the days we would bundle them up as toddlers for Sunday sledding, but skiing with them as teenagers is its own kind of magic - especially when they can buckle their own boots! The best neighbors become family, couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️
