First Olympic tri distance in the bag 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ Olympic distance — DONE!
Swim. Bike. Run. Repeat until the finish line. 💪
Today I pushed myself further than I have before and completed my first Olympic-distance triathlon.
It wasn’t easy.
At 59, I’m proving to myself that getting older doesn’t mean stopping. It means finding new challenges, pushing your limits and seeing what you’re capable of.
One finish line closer to the next adventure. ❤️

Its true what they say… on race day, you pretty much just collect your trophy for all the work you’ve put in over the past months.

Heavy wind and rain definitely didn’t make it easy, especially on the bike. I thought the bike would be my strongest discipline, but I really struggled out there with the weather. Still, not finishing the race was never an option.

During the race, I thought a lot about my late father, grandpa and grandma, which made it even more emotional to see my family out on the course and waiting for me at the finish line. I’m incredibly grateful for their support.

In the end, I was really happy with my game plan: a calm, rhythmic swim, staying on top of my fueling on the bike, and saving enough in the legs for the half marathon.

I reached my goal of finishing under 6 hours comfortably — and that definitely makes me wonder how much harder I can go next time.

Working with the tri guys made this possible and I am looking forward to see how far we can go further.

WHAT A TEAM ❤️

Some of us had good days, some of us had tough days but we shared the pain between us and definitely made sure everyone in Copenhagen knows who The Tri Guys are.

More to come but just proud of the community. Everyone racing with the same values, leaving it all out there, finishing what we start. We go on 💪🔴⚫️
