a lovely way to spend a summer evening is wandering around my friend brenna’s flower farm with a bucket and a pair of clippers.

brenna grows the flowers, invites you out to pick your favorites, and then puts her former-florist skills to work teaching you how to turn them into a bouquet. all on their beautiful century farm, with chickens wandering around like they’re also registered for class.

if you’re local, you should go. 🌼 (i was lucky enough to tag along during one of her private events.)

Sensory bottles!✋🏼👁👂🏻

Sensory bottles support sensory development and help young children learn about the world around them through visual perception, auditory discrimination, and tactile exploration.

See earlier post for further details of sensory bottles⬇️

I just had to share a video of my nephew in action with the sensory bottles I made him for Christmas.🥰

It’s been a long few months over here at the wood-shop! Once November hits we get into what we call “blackout” season. This is where we work out asses off and then we blink and January is somehow here! Between our corporate Ellie signs, holiday orders, wholesale accounts and four retail stores we have our heads down and we are grinding until boom… it’s over. It’s a strange shift to go from high gear to the “slow season with in few days. The cool thing is we expect this and plan accordingly. Bottom line is we are so thankful to be so busy that we can’t even keep up on social media. What a great problem to have. Thank you thank you thank you.

Sensory bottles!✋🏼👁👂🏻

I made a few sensory bottles for my 1 year old nephew for a Christmas gift.

It’s hard to turn off your OT lens.🤪

Sensory bottles are a great gift because they offer kiddos a sensory experience in a safe and non-messy way.

Sensory bottles support sensory development and help young children learn about the world around them through visual perception, auditory discrimination, and tactile exploration.

There are MANY ways you can create sensory bottles! I encourage you to explore Pinterest for wonderful ideas.

Dogs dogs dogs and some cat🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐈 November and December for our small business means we have our heads down and we are working hard to create custom pet portraits. Every one of these orders means something to us. We are so grateful to be able to do what we do. 🙏🏼❤️🥲🛠

Babies learn and develop new connections in their brain through play. Sensory play also helps babies to learn more about the world around them. ✋🏼👀🧠👂🏻

Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving, and creativity.

It supports language development and motor skills as they learn to respond to different stimuli. Sensory play also helps with cognitive growth, fosters social interactions, and encourages experimentation.
