FAD Finals Fever is almost at full time, so lap it up while it lasts — prelim edition: Friday it's Sydney vs Freo, Saturday twilight brings Hawks vs those mighty Brissy Lions.

Damn fine footy, damn fine drinks. Happy hour til 7pm both days, then match-winning specials kick in for the game, plus our exclusive finals cocktail "The Ripper" for $10 while the footy's on.

We're opening earlier on Saturday for the twilight game — open 3pm til 1am Friday and Saturday, so get down early and settle in.

Obsessed with how this custom vintage leather jacket for @brentongeyer turned out!

It’s been a minute since I’ve painted on leather/denim, and this project totally reignited the passion.
The brief was zebra-inspired, but the best part? Full creative freedom! Allowing that guidance with trust is becoming essential for my best work.

Our annual Halloween Party extravaganza on Saturday (now in its 5th year!) this year took us to the theme of ‘BLITZ CLUB 1981 London’ and all of our fantastic guests took it to the next level with outstanding recreations of BLITZ KIDS superstars!! Our door bitch Phillip Salon aka @gavinbrownartist greeted our guests with the right amount of distain and bitchiness while our fantastic DJ @ac_love_dj delivered the best 1981 Synth and New Romantic tunes that filled the dancefloor with everyone in the room while a Superstar DJ Guest set by the amazing @dameerica wowed our Blitz Kids till they dropped!
The biggest thanks to all who helped make the night a knockout, @nicholas_pucinischi and I were so happy to see all our favourite Blitzers there in the room making a huge effort to look incredible and totally on theme!!! Thank you to all you fab folk! 🖤

Yesterday, I got to install this piece in its new home! I’m so incredibly grateful for all the support you all show for my art. A huge thank you to @brentongeyer for his amazing energy and support.
Honestly, all I want to do is share some colour and joy with the world through my creativity, and it makes me so happy to know my art is doing just that.

As I reflect on the submission of my art piece, “Brenton: Behind the Runway,” to the Flanagan Art Prize, I am overwhelmed with a mix of emotions - excitement, nervousness, and a sense of pride. Some might consider it audacious to showcase a gay man wearing punk rock hand painted denim in an all-boys Catholic school setting, but I firmly believe that art should challenge norms, spark meaningful conversations, and celebrate individuality.

My intention was to bring a slice of the vibrant world outside the private school’s walls into the exhibition. I wanted to challenge the students to think critically about their own biases and assumptions, and to inspire them to embrace diversity and inclusivity. By depicting Brenton Geyer, a proud gay man, in a bold and unapologetic manner, I aimed to show that everyone deserves respect, love, and acceptance, regardless of their background or identity.

Being selected as a finalist for the Flanagan Art Prize is an incredible honor, and I am deeply grateful for the recognition. This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of @brentongeyer , who bravely shared his story and image with me, and @gavinbrownartist , an accomplished artist who has been a constant source of inspiration .

I am grateful for the opportunity to share this artwork, and I hope that it will continue to inspire and uplift others long after the exhibition is over.
