had some fun company today for my sunday long run! i convinced my friend @bretinvancouver to ride his bike while i ran the new west to vancouver route. 🚲 🏃‍♀️ as i’ve mentioned before, i run alone the majority of my runs (and races), so every time i get some company i am so happy and grateful. obviously i am not as fast as a bike, so it was a lot of him riding and then stopping to wait for me at landmarks or major intersections. but it worked out really well. it was nice to have someone there, but neither of us felt pressured to be at the other’s pace. the weather turned out to be fabulous for us, and in hindsight, i could have used a bit more sunscreen. but i got to eat a real good sandwich and a delicious donut at the end, so i declare it a sunday success! #orderlydisorders #run #running #halfmarathontraining #halfmarathoner #fitafter40 #womenwhorun #runner #rungoals #goals #weightlossjourney #runvan #vancouverrunning #vancouverrun #gettingfit

Ever since Hannah & I split up, my music wall has had an empty centerpiece, as it just would have been weird to keep the Arkells poster from the show I proposed at in that spot. Over the past year and a half I have been keeping my eye out for an appropriate piece of art or poster to put in its place, but nothing ever spoke to me......until I attended the Thrice/Manchester Orchestra show in Seattle this weekend!! 😍 I love how it balances the 9 overall pieces to 3 a piece for each of my all time favourite bands, and how the colour scheme of the new show poster even matches other elements of the music wall. I am glad my patience finally paid off as this just feels like it was meant to be, and I couldn't be happier to now have this project complete.

After listening to a retrospective podcast (@columbiahouseparty) about the succes and impact of Hybrid Theory, and Linkin Park/Chester's legacy in 2021 and beyond, I am feeling sentimental and rather inspired to share the art I have featuring @linkinpark, and to shout out the artists who worked with me to create them.. First is @bretinvancouver's extraordinary Chester portrait in his unique metal flake style. I still to this day am amazed at just how much detail and emotion/rage Bret was able to get oozing out of Chester. It is my most prized piece of wall art and most certainly will be something I will cherish for the rest of my life! Second is the the tattoo I got 9 months after Chester's passing. It was done by the amazing & impeccable @elven.hands! I suck with creativity a lot of the time, but between the star reference in the lyrics of their final single, 'One More Light' and wanting to incorporate the same colours from Chester's famous flame tattoos on his arms, Taylor came up with an amazing nebula based space backdrop to Linkin Park's logo. (with Chester's bar of the logo being replaced by the final line of One More Light's chorus) Both of these pieces of art are held incredibly close to my heart, and I eternally thank both artists for their work, & their contributions to helping me keep Chester's memory alive, and ever present in my life. It is something I will be forever grateful for. #LinkinPark #ChesterBennington #MakeChesterProud #FuckDepression
