Happy Heavenly Birthday 🎂 @parrisbowens Bro, I 😢. I miss talking to you about everything from business to what we’re watching currently. Things aren’t the same. I’m having a hard time accepting the fact the you’re gone. On the days when I am thinking about you heavy, I listen to an old message you left me. I will never erased those messages. You wouldn’t believe it but I’m in bed by 9:30 PM. Not sleep but resting. @splice released your legendary pack yesterday🔥🔥🔥💯I wish you were here to see and receive all the love that people are showing you. It hurts that we weren’t able to finish the projects that we discuss. However, we will keep your name, legacy, and music alive to never be forgotten. I love you 💯Parris, Happy Heavenly 🎂🎈Birthday. #happyheavenlybirthday #ParrisBowens #RIH #sleepwell #Splice #nord

I recorded this video on my story a couple months ago after Parris sent me a track to record for @tinyspicychickn . You really never know the last experience or conversation you will have someone. I have had the honor and privilege to play live and record many songs with Parris in the past year or so. This was the last one he sent me as we were building an album with The Tiny Spicy Chickn crew and it was easily my favorite. Throughout his life, Parris accomplished so much, and it was such a blessing to play and create with a literal musical genius. His legacy however is not only found in the countless songs he’s been on and the artists played with, but also the inspiration and impact he has had in so many of us. Musician or not, you learned from Parris when he was in the room. I will treasure these moments and this small window of time I had with him. My prayers go out to his family and for the ones who knew him deeply. My heart aches but I know he is probably MDing angels right now. What a legend. May his voice, music, and message be heard through the music he gracefully shared with the world. Love you too bro, we’ll talk soon ❤️
