Caspian was founded in the summer of 2004.
A lot was different then. We were 4 guys who would set up 3 nights a week in a sweaty old converted tannery and play guitars as loud as we could handle.
There was always an urgency to what we were doing. This unspoken need to channel everything through the music we were making, or attempting to make.
Sometime next year, I’m not sure exactly when, I will have been in this band for half of my life.
We have been through everything together. When we started writing music for Caspian S/T, there was a different type of urgency, but still the same need. There is something about getting in a room with your friends and turning up the amplifiers that still feels vital to our existence, not just as a band, but as human beings. This record, as his been stated, is not a reinvention, but really an amalgamation of all the things we’ve learned in the last two decades as a band. For me, it was one of the best experiences making music I’ve ever had. A huge shout out to @brettromnes for guiding us thru the process, @jasonmklein for helping us achieve new sounds, and @chrisbaummusic for his brilliance and collaborative mastery of all things strings.

I am beyond grateful to be playing music with my brothers in Caspian, and for all the support along the way. I can’t wait for you to hear it all, and to play these songs for you.
See you out there. ✌🏼

Recently developed some disposable cameras that have been sitting around in my apartment for the last 1-2 years. Some shots of the next NAT record being recorded, a few of Val moving across to country to start a life with me, more from the first NAT tour. Also one singular relic from Pasta Shop, the greatest place ever made

Back in December we had to cancel our show in Boston because Vinnie had lost his father the night before. We are finally able to play a make-up show for you, and we are so happy about that. We’ve decided to make it extra special by playing our 2000 full length This Time Next Year from front to back (encore set of bangers to follow), and we have added our pal @totallytravis from @piebald and @truecrimetheband ! The show will take place at @artsatthearmory in Somerville . Tix on sale Friday 10am. Please share this with your crew and spread the word. Love you - TML
