Adding on to our 2026 Christchurch Breweries Festival line up with @brewmoonbrewingco. Established in 2002 with no signs of slowing down, this crew isn't afraid of change or even changing locations. It's a quick trip up to Amberley for award winning beer and impeccable hospitality AND that amazing Unlucky Hunter Pizza 😍. This year's fresh hop beer was absolutely outstanding and utilized hops grown in North Canterbury from @boldriverhops. Love local supporting local.

Last night was electric at the return of the Canterbury Hospitality Awards 2026, The Chevrons.

North Canterbury Wine Growers presented Chef of the Year, won by Bob Fairs, presented by our chairman, Matt Barbour. Congratulations to Tussock Hill, winner of Sustainability and Innovation, and Black Estate, winner of Outstanding Regional Establishment. Black Estate was joined in that category by fellow North Canterbury finalists Greystone and Brew Moon. It was a fantastic night for hospitality and our region, and real proof that when North Canterbury wine and hospitality pair up, it’s a region on the rise, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Congratulations to all finalists and winners! 🏆

We’re super excited to announce that Christchurch Breweries Festival is back! Join us at Volstead on Saturday, 7th November 2026, for a day celebrating the awesome brewing scene we have right here in Christchurch.

This will be the third time we’ve hosted the festival, following events in 2022 and 2024. With Volstead under new ownership this year, we thought it was the perfect excuse to bring it back for another round!

We’ll be bringing together breweries from across the Christchurch region, showcasing a beer from each participating brewery. We’ll be making a proper day of it, with live music, delicious food from The Food Dude, and plenty of great local beer flowing throughout the day.

Tickets are available now through Eventfinda -https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2026/christchurch-breweries-festival-2026/christchurch

Your ticket includes:
🍺 A Christchurch Breweries Festival branded glass to take home
🍻 3 x beer tokens, each redeemable for a 285ml pour of festival beer (additional tokens will be available to purchase on the day)

So grab your mates, come along, and spend the day celebrating Christchurch beer with us! 🍻
