a belated august diary of 20 light captures. the older i get, the more i long to do the things i loved as a kid ~ playing in warm ocean water, boogie board evenings, beach bike rides, dancing my way through the fair, riding the rides that make the adrenaline junkie in me so happy, and ofc all the sunshine time. so i did those things and the feeling of nostalgia flooded me in the best way possible. y2k summer 4vr ☼

so I threw it myself, no sunday scaries here 🥐 🪩

last weekend I hosted morning ritual no. 001, where I invited 35 friends to my backyard for an intimate gathering during my favorite time of the week.

we ate fruit & pastries, enjoyed a tea offering by @srvj, and jotted down intentions for the week while I performed a downtempo turned dance set.

turns out we don’t need to wait until midnight.

should we do it again?

Shredded Guys Get A Different July. Here’s Why.

You can always tell who stayed locked in all year.

Shirt off, shoulders out, nothing to suck in. 😤

Warm air hits the second you walk outside.

Breeze rolls in right as the sun starts dropping. 🌴

Nobody checking a watch. Nobody in a hurry to be anywhere else.

Whole crew’s out, and everybody in it looks good because everybody in it did the same work.

Music going, somebody’s cooking, everybody laughing at something that wasn’t even that funny. 😂

Sleeves cut off because the arms earned it.

And the women clock the arms first, man. Every time. 👀

Beautiful women who train and eat right themselves, and when you look like you belong out there, not one of them is hard to talk to.

That’s just how it goes.

Here’s the part nobody tells you.

This ain’t luck and it ain’t genetics.

It’s some decision a guy made back in November on a night he didn’t feel like it.

And if you skipped every one of those nights, ate whatever was in reach, told yourself you’d start Monday for eight months straight, that’s why you’re fat.

That’s why you’re the only grown man at the pool swimming in a shirt.

That’s it. That’s the whole secret. 🔑

Tag whoever needs to be out here with you this summer. 👇🏾

You’re one summer away from this being yours instead of something you scroll past.

Told myself this dump couldn’t include gym pics and I was left with food, friends, a sprinkle of cute bevvies, and my happy tears watching strangers be nice on the internet. Exquisite roundup.
