Lighting Tech + One stop grip and lighting rentals in Glendale, CA.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few summers ago, Brian and I had just moved to LA and booked a backyard pool for a shoot. Less than 24 hours out, it fell through.

Instead of scrapping the day, we picked up a couple cases of White Claw, called in a few models, and shot a spec campaign on the fly. Brian wanted to keep things loose, casual and authentic.

A few things that made the day:

🎥 Brian shot motion on a lo-fi handheld camcorder as he wanted it to feel like a friend casually filming friends, not a "production." Our editor cut it into a hybrid spot, blending that footage with stills.

👙 Everyone brought their own pool-party looks, styled by me within what they already had.

☀️ Shot late afternoon into golden hour, with a lighting assistant shaping light to keep the product popping and a digi tech so we could check frames.

🥤 + me on can-spritzing duty to keep every White Claw looking cold and freshly cracked.

Super thrilled with how it came out, it feels like a hot summer afternoon featuring some beautiful people and chilly beverages 🔥
