Some people come into your life and change everything 🧡

I met @brianhuskey on Top Chef — and what started as a friendship became one of the most important partnerships of my life. Today he runs my CookUnity operations, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart: this business is thriving because of HIM 🙏✨

Earlier this month I flew him out to New York, where we cooked side by side at Platform by James Beard. Sold-out dinner on September 9th 🥂 and honestly? I ALWAYS have the best time cooking next to this man 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳💛

If you’ve been following my journey, you know this — I’m in my Shirley 2.0 era 💫 Everything I’m building right now is part of my comeback after surviving stage 4 tongue cancer. And I couldn’t do ANY of it without people like Brian in my corner 🥹❤️

Big plans for next year… I can’t wait to share what’s coming 🚀

Brian, thank you. For the friendship, the hustle, and always bringing your absolute best. Love you, Chef! 🤗

Hiii Loves 💕 I can’t believe in less than 2 years since I completed my cancer treatment,I returned to New York and hosted a dinner at @platformbyjbf, representing my new restaurant @nightroosterdallas 🐓❤️ Thank you for everyone who showed up, some of you all the way from California, Vegas, Miami and Atlanta. To all my friends who helped me cooked and get all the last minute ingredients, donated wine pairings, hosted our team dinner. Thank you @beardfoundation for inviting my team to cook here. Every station served a holiday-inspired dish you’ll wish was on your Thanksgiving table every year. From chef-led tastings to standout seasonal flavors, it was the ultimate pre-holiday feast. Even better, a portion of proceeds supported Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. ❤️
