As the musical zeitgeist of the late 1960s turned towards Americana, returning to the musical roots of Appalachia and the Mississippi Delta with songs rich in story telling and suffused with melody, the Grateful Dead followed suit. Their music began to lean away from psychedelic improvisation and more towards folk and blues. Acoustic instruments and rich vocal harmonies became the building blocks for this new musical direction, leading the band to the pinnacle of their songwriting with the quintessential albums Working Man’s Dead and American Beauty.

We now present to you these two albums in their entirety, as seen through the lens of Reckoning- where the song, above all else, is the cynosure.

Super excited to have three unique opportunities to perform at @revelerexperiences this summer!
