This post could be called “The Great Southwest Fiasco” or “How to Turn Lemons Into Lemonade” or “Planes, A Bus, and Automobiles”...but I’m here to share that the holiday didn’t quite turn out the way we expected, but with a lot of last minute coordination, we turned it into an adventure! Eric and I had some great mom/son quality time in Boulder while Eric’s girlfriend, Kacey, was in the Dallas area having Christmas with her family. Kacey was due to arrive on the evening of the 26th and we were excited to open our gifts and cook dinner together! By the morning of the 26th, Kacey’s Southwest flight for that night had been canceled and within hours my flight for the night of the 27th had also been cancelled. Now neither Kacey nor I can get home and @southwestair is looking like a train wreck!!!So, at 6:30 am on the 27th, Eric and I started out on the road trip to Amarillo. Meanwhile, Kacey and her dad timed their trip to leave Allen, TX to arrive at Amarillo at the same time as us for a passenger swap! In Amarillo, I visited with Kacey long enough to give her a big Christmas hug and meet her dad for the first time. Kacey and Eric then traveled ALL the way back to Boulder (15 hour round-trip in one day!!!) Meanwhile, I had another 5.5 hours to get to know Kacey’s Dad while on the way to my friend, Lesleigh’s house just outside Dallas for an impromptu overnight visit before hopping on a Greyhound to Austin yesterday at 4:30 pm. I finally arrived in Austin last night at 8 PM, greeted by my friend, Ani at the bus stop and had a little celebration for the end of the saga! My heart goes out to everyone still stranded. I hope you get home safely and can find some lightness in all this mess! #turninglemonsintolemonade #travelnightmare #travelstories #southwestairlines #wtfsouthwestairlines

My heart is SO FULL!!! ❤️

Tonight was the End of Year celebration Zoom call for the Spring 2022 participants of the Weekend retreats. It was truly special hearing everyone share out their personal growth celebrations for the year. I received texts and emails from all the other participants who could not make it to the call but shared how much they really wanted to be there. The ongoing care and concern these women have for each other is so magical to witness and to be a part of!!! I hope you or a woman you care about will join us in 2023 for one of our weekend retreats. Please visit the Services page at www.goddesses.garden for upcoming dates #womenstories #empowerment #selflove #gardenofthegoddesses #warriorwithinher #womensuportingwomen #womenempoweringwomen #warriorgoddesstraining #strongertogether
