🚨 WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS. 🚑

One moment, everything is normal.
The next… everything changes.

Twisted metal. Broken glass. Flashing lights.
And while everyone else sees chaos, they see someone who needs help.

They arrive.
They stabilize.
They care.
And then they disappear into the night — carrying someone toward another chance. ❤️‍🩹

This little LEGO story is dedicated to the people who run toward the moments most of us hope we never experience.

A huge THANK YOU to @brick_ems for the inspiration and the awesome idea for this scene! 🚑🧱 You challenged NEXORA to bring EMS into this universe — so here we are. 😎🤝

Respect to EMTs, paramedics & first responders everywhere. ❤️

Working in Brooklyn’s Chinatown we often see large populations gathering in any open spaces we can find practicing the art of Tai Chi. We also noticed that the patients we treat are healthier and live to ripe old ages. So the members of station 40 have decided to join in! Idk if the members are describing it correctly but it’s a start…..

I’ll answer, they can’t. @nycmayor will you have the courage to fix this? Link for article in my bio.

This EMS Week, our local first responders are collecting bottled water to help keep emergency personnel hydrated during large-scale incidents, rehab, and patient care situations 💙🚑

From May 17–31, donations can be dropped off at participating EMS locations throughout Ocean County.

📍 Drop Off Locations:
• South Toms River EMS
• Stafford EMS
• Brick EMS Rescue
• Ocean County Training Center

Every case helps support the people who show up for our communities every single day. Let’s show up for them too 🙌

This was my testimony from this past Thursdays hearing about @justin.brannan bill to separate EMS from the FDNY. There are many impediments to EMS achieving pay and benefit parity with our B&S in the other 911 agencies. This hearing exposed that the FDNY only allocates 16% of its budget to funding EMS, while we do 80% of the call volumes that the FDNY handles. It’s time to annul this failed marriage and give EMS what we deserve, which is a fully operational and funded EMS service with its own commissioner. The citizens of NYC deserve an EMS service that is truly dedicated to providing pre-hospital emergency care and the emts/medics deserve a system that will help them accomplish that! #freeems

Giving the Ambulance service some love!

Here we have my Command Unit, LAS DCA dual crewed ambulance (which is a generic ambulance for care and transport to hospital of the sick and injured in day to day situations) 1x new gen Man tge HART Incident support unit, and 2x mercedes sprinter Incident support units!

HART stands for Hazardous Area Response Team. These teams work in groups of two Incident support units and two VW Transporter incident Response units (watch this space 👀) and this team deals with the triage and extrication and care of critically injured patients or those in hard to reach areas, or high risk such as fire grounds, road traffic collisions or Hazardous materials incidents (CBRN, see my other posts)

Thanks to @lego_city_999 for inspiration and help with equipment, more to follow and update!

A great day of Special Operations training at the Ocean County Fire Academy! 🔥🧗‍♂️

Members of Laurelton Special Ops team, including members from Berkeley Fire and Brick EMS spent the day honing their skills in Rope Rescue, sharpening techniques, and reinforcing interagency coordination. Solid work by all involved — always pushing forward, always ready.

A job I responded to this morning. The crew was sitting on the street corner and this person came and started to randomly throw rocks and bricks at them. They had no prior interaction with him. The dangers of this job (EMS) are serious and unfortunately we work for a city and agencies that do not care about EMS. Thankfully the crews were ok. Video taken by bystander and given permission to share.

I remember the first time Brick EMS reached out to me to make some shirts for them, I didn’t know at the time how big they were going to be. As I watched them grow over the years and see all the other things they have done for their community it sad to see that they are no longer going to be around. Thank you @brick_ems for giving me all the opportunities I’ve had to do work for y’all.
