This Sunday(25th October 11am-3pm) at The Baseplate we’ll be part of MUG’s Brick Market and we have got some fantastic pre-loved (and some New) and retired sets. Most are from our personal collection so they are in amazing condition. We love to repackage these sets as beautifully as possible so the new builder gets the full experience and joy of a new LEGO set. We’ll have City sets, Ninjago, Friends, Modular’s and more! The Baseplate will be full of great LEGO to be snapped up, we reccomend getting there early so you don’t miss out on a great set or 3! The bbq will be pumping out sausages to keep everyone’s belly’s full while shopping 🌭 See you Sunday!! #lego #legomelbourne #legosale #mugsbrickmarket

Having a dad in your corner matters. Especially when the world outside is getting louder, nastier and full of misinformation. Using your child’s name. Challenging a hurtful comment. Stepping in when bullying starts. Standing proudly beside them. That’s big dad energy. 💙 But dads are often less likely to seek help or join family support programs, and few services are designed specifically for them. That gap matters because their kids need them to show up. Transcend Australia’s DadSpace brings dads and father figures together to turn commitment into action. This GiveOUT Day, your donation will help us work with dads to create practical resources for families across Australia. More dads showing up. More kids feeling safe, accepted and supported. Donate before midnight tonight and your gift will be doubled. Help close the gap. Give big dad energy. Donation link in bio.

Yesterday’s mail gave us this gorgeous bag tag by @bugalugs.shop as a fundraiser for PANZMA 🇵🇸 Give them a follow as they are a local Naarm maker of very fun & colorful products. Our Palestine flag art will be available soon as a print & we are also about to release a new Heart representing the flag of Palestine. Check our socials for when they’ll be available. It’s so important to support local makers and artists, not big business. We’d love to hear who some of your favorite makers/artists are! #freepalestine🇵🇸 #melbournecreatives #legoart #supportlocal

Remember when I introduced our fresh batch of hissy kitties back in January? We still have one of them for adoption! Gomez is the sweetest and most chill cat. Like a gorgeous Sunday morning personified. Probably why we haven’t been as active as usual about getting him a new home! But, he needs one. As much as we love him, we can’t afford to have 5 cats. And there are more fosters who need our help. So, here is truly the most delightful lanky black cat. Gomez is obsessed with other cats and only slightly less obsessed with humans. He is super playful, vocal, confident & friendly. He wants to know who is in his house. He follows his foster dad Tiger around everywhere. And gets on well with every cat. If he isn’t on our lap or following us around, he’s curled up in front of our pillows. Gomez is obsessed with cat paste and toys. He doesn’t like being picked up, but he flops on you whenever you’re sitting or lying down. He loves pats and tummy rubs. He snores and talks in his sleep. He chirps and trills at anything & everything and calls to you from another room. If you and your cat are looking for a love bug and a best buddy, Gomez is the cat for you. Note, he needs to go to a home with a cat. He needs a buddy to love & play with. Once he has worn out his friends, he happily plays on his own. Untested with dogs & young children, but we think he’d be fine with calm ones. Currently living in Thomastown, Victoria. He is available for adoption through @foreverfriendsrescue His Pet Rescue profile is here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1177803 Please share far & wide. Let’s find this gorgeous guy a new home 🏡 🐈‍⬛ #FosterCat #CatForAdoption #AdoptMe #ForeverFriendsRescue #CatRescue

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. We stand with anyone struggling to get through the day. Suicide prevention is a cause we have been passionate about forever. Jess especially-has worked in the field. We hope that our art and contributions to the LGBTIQA+ community help people feel less alone. Having one trusted, supportive adult can reduce the risk of suicide by up to 40% for a young person. Trans people have one of the highest rates of suicide. Not because they are trans, but because of a lack of community, societal and legal support. The attacks on trans people, especially trans women, around the world has made people even more unsafe & vulnerable to suicide & self harm. Using trans people’s names and pronouns is suicide prevention. Gender affirming care is suicide prevention. Not giving a hoot where people go to pee is suicide prevention. Loving people for who they are, not in spite of it, is suicide prevention. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💕 You can make a difference if you only do these things. We are thinking of all who are struggling with suicidal thoughts, who have attempted suicide, and who have died by suicide. And we are thinking of all the people grieving a loved one who has died by suicide. If you need someone to talk to: Q Life 1800 184 527. 3-9pm, everyday Yarn 13 92 76. 24hrs, everyday Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800. 24hrs, everyday Lifeline 13 11 14. 24hrs, everyday Love Jess & Netty xx Image credit: @justalittlebitofpositivity

Me looking at my haul of @gaystuffmarket goodies with so much love! Art makes me so happy and the people at this market are so amazing, and are definitely worth supporting. Artists make the world more alive and more beautiful! (Wearing @pretty_devastating ) Amazing art by @candlewick_jack , @chocolate_chip_bunny @bricknetty and @pinlord ! Art books by @candlewick_jack that made me so excited when I saw them! So excited to read wagging tales with the personal comics inside! Thank you so much for doing an art trade with me and your partners were such great stall neighbours! Do you see these by @chocolate_chip_bunny ?? I could die from cuteness. I’m going to treasure my alien cat forever, what an incredible creation. And I’m a huge fan of Eeveelutions and the claw machine aesthetic 😍 Sparkly pink Ditto by @pinlord 😍🩷 I’m currently playing Pokopia (I started way later than I wanted because of this year turning my life upside down!) but it’s made me absolutely adore Ditto even more. Can’t wait to wear this :) God I love this Lego art creation by @bricknetty ! I’ve been eyeing their creations at every gay stuff market I’ve done, and I finally claimed one for myself. I especially love how it includes a bit of purple and black, with the flowing water element, making me feel like it also represents my genderfluid identity as well. The magic wand, the cat, the bow, the fire… it’s perfect.
