Friendship is a love story. In PINING FOR YOU, it’s a big one.

We give romantic relationships so much space in stories, but I believe friendships deserve that kind of love, too.

The greatest loves of my life have long been my friends. I wanted Bennie’s friendships to feel that important, because to her, they are.

Another @yallfest in the books! I so appreciate the love y’all showed us yesterday at the booth! Whether you just popped by to chat, take a pic, give me a bracelet 🥺, or buy - you made my day! I get to see so many old friend & make new ones each year and it’s just THE best. Already dreaming of next year.

June was busting out all over how embarrassing

Highlights include:

☀️reentering my short hair era and wondering why I ever left
☀️enjoying kleypas girl summer
☀️having the best cocktails I’ve ever had with @magmalaney and @richardspitzz (and knocking another square off of PP bingo by going to a speakeasy)
☀️announcing my second born child
☀️having an absolute menty b about the PWMOV release date (this happened in July but shhhhh)
☀️gagging over the PP bag forever and ever

I’m still processing the beautiful, amazing whirlwind that was the @bindery_books Spring ‘25 launch. A few highlights:

✨ bonded with my fascinating, funny, and freakishly talented fellow authors @chasethemaren @barbarartruelove @denisesrobbins
✨ chatted about the future of publishing with rockstar moderator @laurpuckett
✨ (finally) met the fabulous AMMR9 girlies @londonsperrywrites and @brideymorris after all these years
✨ got to know the gorgeous @maddiesmartinez (can’t wait for The Maiden and Her Monster!!)
✨ sampled the most stunning and unique book-themed macarons I’ve ever seen @sarasbookishmacarons

And last, but certainly not least, I got to spend time with @kevintnorman without whom Black Salt Queen would not have been possible. Thank you for fighting for this book and all the diverse, mould-breaking, heart-filled stories that NEED to be out in the world.

This was every debut author’s dream. Huge thanks to @ptknitwear @bnfifthavenue and @bindery_books for bringing us all together 🩷

Nalini is so sweet and kind (& let me gush over her so much) and I am so glad to have had the opportunity to see her (twice!!) this weekend. (if you haven’t read guild hunters yet what are you doing???)

Book launch part 1: the part where I talked about ✨happy endings✨ with @brosandprose at @therippedbodice

This night was magic. Thank you to each and every person who came out to hear me babble incoherently about the horny production of Oklahoma and about being too depressed to touch grass. It was so special to me and I won’t forget it.

Thank you @brosandprose for being the best conversation partner I could’ve asked for. Your questions were thoughtful and you never let me panic!!!!

Shout out to @therippedbodice staff who were so amazing and organized and just an absolute pleasure!!! I’m so honored to have gotten to do this event at my favorite bookstore 🩵

And thank you @keeleycattt for taking these incredible photos and for your general amazingness you are the best!!!

And shout out to @bookswithbecks__ for the coolest gift I will cherish forever and ever !!!
