*****

The song “City Dreams” is the result of a collaboration between singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sachi Keiko and the musical collective Bridge Percussion. Blending the indie-alternative genre with contemporary chamber music, the piece integrates a singer-songwriter song structure with arrangements adapted for a percussion ensemble. The composition combines the soloist’s vocals and melodic instrumentation with rhythmic textures—created by the group using marimba and percussion—to support the vocal line and build the track’s urban atmosphere.

art for @sachi.keiko & @bridgepercussion i would love more music with vibraphones and what i think is a timpani but maybe someone correct me! orchestral bass drum?? information page from mrsjlearning.com/musical-instruments because i also think we should be speaking about how pianos and keyboard instruments are part of the PERCUSSION GROUP so that’s crazy

CITY DREAMS live video is now on youtube!! wrote this one during a @school_of_song workshop with @kimbramusic in 2023, and the assignment was about breaking expectations. for me, that meant writing in the percussion studio for the first time instead of behind a guitar. the original demo is just me looping each individual drum part, and then finding the vibraphone riff on top of it. it was the perfect song to bring to @bridgepercussion + this was the first time I got to perform it in its intended arrangement :) HOPE YOU LOVE IT watch it stream it etc <3

THE MOMENT YOU ALL (we) HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! You can now listen to our debut collaborative two-track single on all streaming platforms :) We recorded these 2 songs in january LIVE at @zhoubartcenter. Having recorded all my other music in a studio setting, it was so much fun facing the challenge and magic of live performance with the stellar, and truthfully unmatched @bridgepercussion. Let us know what you think and stay tuned for more fun @bridgepercussion updates this week ;)
