For the first time in Florida International University’s history. Our very own BridgeUSA Chapter had the opportunity to attend BridgeUSA’s 2026 National Summit, which took place in Philadelphia!

This summit, Outreach Chair Isabella Martinez-Santander, Vice President Kurt McCarthy, and Chapter President Michael Porras were able to learn from the national organization and other chapters alike on how to strengthen and foster civil communication between students on campus, and all that is needed to improve and grow our very own chapter here at Florida International University.

This will take place on Friday, January 30th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the WPU Ballroom. Make sure to bring a resume and a smiling face! Dress code is business/business casual.

The work doesn’t stop on Election Day.

That’s why we were so grateful to work with @bridgepittsburgh and @repsummerlee’s office to host a town hall with Pitt students on climate change, and all the issues at the top of students’ minds.

Our young people are our future, and they deserve a voice in the world we're building.

Thank you so much to @nextgenamerica and @bridgepittsburgh for hosting such an important convening, and most importantly thank you to the students for your thoughtful engagement. Use this lesson this week. Today, we ask you to build 1 bridge. With 1 person, enjoy discussing 1 topic you disagree on. Be genuinely curious about their perspective. Learn from each other. That's it.

Haven’t made a normal post on this platform in like 5 months…and had too much time while stuck at DFW…

I’m currently in the middle of a 48 day travel stint bringing the mission of @bridgeusa_ to campuses, companies, and power centers across the country. If you’re following my stories, you’ll get the more honest day to day craziness. The reception to BridgeUSA’s mission has been honestly insanely strong, even I didn’t anticipate just how exhausted people are by our toxic politics.

It’s an absolutele privilege and honor to do this work and represent our student leaders who are building a political future we all can be proud of 🙌 it’s time for more dialogue, better disagreement, and smarter solutions 🦅
