The perfect conditions don’t happen often, but when they do, they leave you breathless.

During a photo session at @bridleuphope, a beam of light broke through the skylight, cutting a perfect spotlight right into the middle of the indoor round pen.

Seeing this student step into that light with so much elegance and power was a moment I won’t ever forget. It completely showcases the inner strength these young women build through this program. Taking this photo meant so much to me—it’s a reminder that beauty and resilience can thrive in the most unconventional spaces.

October 9–10 were two more important days for our team! 💗

We completed our annual Bridle Up Hope instructor recertification, reaffirming our knowledge, skills, and commitment to high standards of instruction and the best possible experience for the women and girls in our program! 💪🏻✨

Two days of inspiring speakers, new knowledge, and reconnecting with our Bridle Up Hope family from around the world! 🌍🫂

We’re proud to have been part of our family for over three years! 🇺🇸🫂🇺🇦 We’re grateful to keep learning together, strengthen our work, and bring what we learn to the women and girls in Ukraine. 💓

One of our members, Tori Richards recently organized a special needs rodeo for her service project at Bridle Up Hope! Having grown up with her severely autistic, nonverbal brother, this cause is especially close to her heart.

With help from 2 of our other members Kadence and Becky, participants enjoyed stick-horse barrel racing, roping, horse rides, and gifts, including a medal!

A huge thank-you to Bridle Up Hope and everyone who helped make this special day possible! 💕

About a year ago, I started a program that changed my life: Bridle Up Hope!

Through this program and the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, I learned how to build healthy relationships, develop life skills, and grow in confidence. One of the biggest things I took away was realizing that the habits in this book can help you navigate just about any situation life brings your way.

I also had the opportunity to work closely with the horses through groundwork, bareback riding, English riding, and barrel racing. They taught me patience, trust, and the beauty of building a connection without words.

Bridle Up Hope was founded by the Covey family after their daughter struggled with depression and found comfort through working with horses. Although she later passed away, her story became the foundation of a program dedicated to helping women develop confidence, hope, and valuable life skills.

Bridle Up Hope supports women facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, trauma, stress, postpartum challenges, and the pressures of everyday life.

I’m so grateful for the experiences, lessons, and skills I gained through this program, and I’m proud to say I completed Bridle Up Hope!

Nearly 60% of girls today feel hopeless. We’re on a mission to change that. Bridle Up Hope: St. George is one of the locations of the Bridle Up Hope Foundation. We are a nonprofit horse riding school devoted to inspiring hope, confidence, and resilience in girls and women through the healing power of horses and the life changing principles found in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People©. Our Equine-Assisted Learning experience (EAL) is designed to help all girls and women, ages 12 and older. It is especially helpful for those who have experienced anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma — or who have simply lost hope. Learn more at bridleuphope.org 🐴

Join us October 20th for an evening of connection, inspiration, and purpose as we celebrate the milestone of 100 students completing our program, and uplift the mission of Bridle Up Hope: To inspire hope, confidence and resilience in girls and women through horses and habits💞

This special evening will include messages from both @missrodeoutah and @missrodeoamericaofficial, heartfelt stories from our students, musical selections, and opportunities to support the growth of our program in the St. George community, including a silent auction.

You’ll also enjoy a soda bar, dutch oven dinner provided by the Washington County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, and dessert by @jerseys.chocolate.co and @handels_st.george

🌟 HABIT 7: SHARPEN THE SAW 🌟

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is pause, recharge, and take care of ourselves.

At BUH, we’re learning that taking time to strengthen our body, mind, heart, and spirit helps us become stronger and more effective in every area of our lives.

Just like our horses need care, rest, and attention, we do too. 🐴💛

This week, we’re asking:

HABIT 6: SYNERGIZE 🤝

At Bridle Up Hope, our girls are learning that our differences are strengths—not weaknesses. When we listen to others, value different ideas, and work together, we can accomplish things we could never do alone.

And sometimes, just like working with a horse, the best results come when we learn to communicate, trust, and work as a team. 🐎💕
