The third and final single before Close to Fire is released, is out today!❤️‍🔥

“Can’t Keep a Good Man Down For Long”, written by @dannybrooksmusic, saved me years ago from going to a very dark place – a place I’m not sure I would have returned from. Years later, I met Danny and told him what his song had done for me. He said, ‘I haven’t played that in years.’ He asked me to sing the first few lines. Then it kicked in. That night, he played it for me in Sarasota, Florida. Some songs find you exactly when you need them.

“This song is about the spirit of a man or a woman who refuses to quit. Diligence is a man’s precious possession! The song was the opening track on the Rock This House CD, and won the 2007 Shai Award for Best Blues/Jazz Album. In 2006, the album was nominated for a CMA Canada Award for Best Blues/Jazz Album. Richard Bell played keyboards on the album and also served as its producer.” - @dannybrooksmusic
