Imagine if I’d let fear make all my decisions…

I would have missed ALL of this.🥹

3 years. Countless stages. Incredible retreats. Hundreds of beautiful souls, hugs, tears, laughter, breakthroughs and memories I’ll cherish forever.

And to think it all started with a vision, a little courage and a LOT of crazy ideas (some crazier than others).

The biggest transformation wasn’t what I achieved.

It was who I became along the way.

So here’s to saying YES, taking risks, following your intuition and creating a life that makes you feel ridiculously ALIVE.

And to every beautiful human who’s been part of this journey… THANK YOU.❤️

P.S. Imagine where you could be 3 years from now if you dared to go for it?

Some people don’t just lend their name to a cause. They become part of its story. ❤️

A huge thank you to the beautiful @antheaturner for standing forward, putting her name behind bullying prevention and taking on an extraordinary adventure with an incredible group of people.

Together, this project has raised an amazing £125,000 for bullying prevention charity @coramkidscape, helping us take another step towards a world where every child feels safe, seen and valued.

Anthea, we are forever grateful for your support, your generosity and the part you have played in this journey.

And seeing you shine at our premiere at @cinemainthepowerstation - Battersea Power Station was the perfect reminder of what this project is all about. Extraordinary people coming together to make real change.

@brightcausepr - Thank you for being part of it. ✨❤️

Delighted to announce that our challenge earlier this year to go from sea to summit of Mt Kilimanjaro has been given a @guinnessworldrecords for the fastest ascent.

This challenge was super special to not only undertake with some brilliant friends @global_adventure_with_purpose @onkuehne but also the wider team to the roof of Africa! Thank you to all those who generously donated and supported us @mason_cycles @shackletonofficial @uncharted.summits @brightcausepr @pitmantozer

It was super special to raise in excess of £125,000 for @coramkidscape and create a documentary that continues the legacy of the project! 🏊🚴⛰️🇹🇿

Behind the scenes… one week ago today, I was in full event mode at @cinemainthepowerstation with the incredible @brightcausepr team, getting ready to bring this whole project to life.

Today, I’m smiling, watching this back and remembering just how much went into that day.

From the chaos behind the scenes, @rosscarvil - you know! To stepping onto that stage and seeing the room come alive… it was one of those moments where you stop and think: we actually did this ✨

A project that started with an idea, a mountain and a determination to do something about bullying has now raised more than £125,000 for bullying prevention @coramkidscape and touched so many hearts along the way.

I’m incredibly proud to have been part of it.

A huge thank you to @kerloraofficial for keeping me comfortable in the pre-premiere chaos and kitting me out in sportswear before the dress went on!

And to @oliverkingsleymedia for capturing it all and delivering some of the best event films in the world. You make moments feel as good on screen as they did in the room.

And, of course, to the brilliant Bright Cause team and everyone who made this project what it became.

One week on, and I’m still feeling very, very proud. ❤️

Some projects are bigger than any one person.

This was definitely one of them.

My project role as the Head of Content & Social Media for @bwcaberdeen usually sees me in events in Aberdeen (namely the annual Athena Awards), so I can’t even pretend to play it cool that I got to be Karen Smith’s Plus One at the premiere of The Roof of Africa: Bullied - The Mountain We Face at @batterseapwrstn cinema in London this week!

Produced by @brightcausepr in collaboration with @uncharted.summits and directed by @dalereubin , the documentary is from an expedition in early 2026 where a team of fundraisers climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in support of @coramkidscape (and raised over £120,000 in the process).

It was an incredible experience; from the red carpet premiere event, to the beautiful document (all the emotions 🥹), the people, the dress (@kelikumefashionandstyling ) I got to wear and the food & drink adventures we had over the 2 days … swipe for the whirlwind carousel ⬅️ #BWCAberdeen #FreelanceAdventures #BirdandEmmy

Name a more iconic way to announce that you have arrived in London from Aberdeen …

The @batterseapwrstn was beyond impressive! Can’t believe I have never before and when can I go again? #batterseapowerstation #London

Delicious pizza and courgette fries for lunch from @tozibattersea ahead of the premiere event in @batterseapwrstn 💯

@kelikumefashionandstyling kindly loaned us these gorgoues dresses for the “red carpet” dress code and we had so many compliments - including someone asking to take a photo with us outside the hotel ❤️ #kelikumefashion #Aberdeendesigner

Ok … one more time for THIS dress by @kelikumefashionandstyling and hair by @bykaleylou_ ❤️

The documentary “The Roof of Africa: Bullied - The Mountain We Face” produced by Bright Cause PR in collaboration with Uncharted Summit and directed by Dale Reubin, is from an expedition in early 2026 where a team of fundraisers climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in support of Coram Kidscape!

Lucy and her team did an incredible job at the premiere event too and the event felt very special 🥹

A round of applause for the climbers; including Aberdeen based @movemountains_roseeelliott and Cerri McDonald 🙌

THE ROOF OF AFRICA BULLIED: THE MOUNTAIN WE FACE 🎬

18 months of hard work, passion and purpose came together on Monday night at Battersea Power Station Cinema for the red carpet premiere of our documentary.

What started as a climb up Kilimanjaro for @coramkidscape became something so much bigger, a story about hope, connection, community and the fight against bullying.

I’m incredibly proud that the climb, fundraising events and premiere have now raised over £126,000 for Coram Kidscape. ❤️

And there was more…

🏆 @josh.braid , Ollie Keune and @global_adventure_with_purpose set a Guinness World Record for the fastest Sea-to-Summit ascent of Kilimanjaro.

For @finding_your_summit and me, this project is deeply personal. We were both bullied growing up and know the impact it can have long after the bullying stops.

Huge thanks to our climbers, Kidscape, @brightcausepr , Uncharted Summits, @dalereubin , our sponsors, the Tanzania ground team and everyone who helped bring this story to life.

The mountain was Kilimanjaro.

But the mountain we were really trying to climb was bullying.

And we’re only just getting started.

For us, it’s personal. 🧡

This week, colleagues from @coram.uk and @coramkidscape Kidscape joined supporters at Battersea Power Station for the premiere of The Roof of Africa: Bullied – The Mountain We Face.

The documentary follows the people behind an extraordinary Kilimanjaro challenge in support of Coram Kidscape, bringing together deeply personal experiences of bullying with stories of resilience, recovery and solidarity. The film explores how the effects of bullying can continue long after the experience itself — and why timely support, safe relationships and being heard can make such a difference.

What began as a climb became a much wider campaign: raising more than £100,000 for Coram Kidscape and creating space for honest conversations about bullying, trauma and the strength it can take to move forward.

Thank you to Bright Cause (@brightcausepr ) , Uncharted Summits (@uncharted.summits), Andrew Barton (@andrew_barton_hair) and everyone involved in bringing these stories to the screen and supporting @coramkidscape ’s work with children, families and schools.

Behind the scenes - @batterseapwrstn - Premiere Documentary Screening with the powerhouse who is Ros @rosscarvil 👏

Event planning and hosting chaos at its most hilarious!

When you have an idea - deliver it and do it with good people and great humour 😊

Thanks for your help @henryblack_official - when I said premiere week that we were off to the printers to pick up Josh and Andrew, @andrew_barton_hair @josh.braid - he had a different vision of it 😂
