POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Tina Horváth is well known for bringing people together around great food, and this year she is curating the Supper Club series at Reading Room.

She kicked off the 2026 events season on 4th February with her vibrant CanTina Supper Club, filling the room with bold cooking, brilliant energy and a room full of guests ready for a great night. It set the tone perfectly for what is shaping up to be a fantastic run of events.

Since then we’ve already welcomed some brilliant collaborators. Patrick McGuigan joined us for a wonderful evening celebrating all things cheese, and last night the much loved Pantry Girls brought their incredible skills, hearty eats and dam tasty dishes for a night full of stories and flavour.

And we’re only just getting started.
Next up we are thrilled to welcome Chef Sel Bracamonte to Reading Room on the 17th March, Currently appearing on MasterChef: The Professionals, Sel will be creating a special evening menu inspired by his travels and the many kitchens he has worked in across the world.

Reading Room has a brilliant line-up planned with chefs, makers and collaborators all bringing their own style to the table. Each Supper Club is a one-off evening, a chance to gather around long tables, meet new people and enjoy something a little special.

2026 at Reading Room is shaping up to be a very exciting year, watch this space 👀 ✨

𝑰𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒆 / BRIGHTON'S HOTTEST NEW SEAFRONT VENUE

The Reading Room at Black Rock had been derelict for decades, but now elegantly restored and reopened, it has instantly become a busy, bustling neighbourhood hub.

I love the style of the food offering (concocted by @cantinabrighton and @brightoncheflife), which changes daily and focuses on baked breakfasts, fresh seasonal lunches, and indulgent bakes.

The Galette topped with garlic mushrooms, kale, ricotta and Sussex blue, and served with leaves and chutney was delicious. The same goes for the surprisingly light Frittata packed with tenderstem, red onion, and sweet potato served with leaves and an excellent hummus.

As for sweet treats, the Cherry Bakewell and monster slab of Chocolate & Berry cake were both droolworthy.

The space is warm and inviting, and with plenty of outdoor seating and sea views, it really is a must visit, especially when the sun is shining.

Its recently launched candlelit supper clubs look superb too, running every Thurs-Sat @ 7pm.
