💜 “IN YOUR DREAMS” IS OUT NOW 💜

“In Your Dreams,” the new single from Tommi Aura and Big Freedia, is officially out now via We Are: The Guard!

Following the release of Tommi Aura’s incredible 2025 debut album High Fashion Pop Music, “In Your Dreams” brings more of Tommi’s playful pop sensibility, this time alongside a true icon.

Joining Tommi is the legendary Big Freedia, the Queen Diva and one of the defining voices of New Orleans bounce. Earlier this year, we were honored to release Released at Last, Freedia’s collaborative EP with the late, visionary SOPHIE. We’re thrilled to welcome the Queen back to We Are: The Guard for another special release.

“In Your Dreams” is available to stream now on all platforms! ✨

CREDITS

Co-written by Tommi Aura, Big Freedia, Alexandra Forbes, Randy Gregory Taylor Weber, and Michael Zager.
Produced by David Burris.
Mixed by James Krausse.
Mastered by Dale Becker.

FYC: BEST POP SOLO PERFORMANCE. 🙏🏻

This is not a nomination — but as the song says, the best is yet to come. And who knows… maybe this will be the one that gets me there. ☀️

It may say “Solo Performance,” but there was nothing solo about getting this song here. Huge love and gratitude to @mitchallan128 and @lindyrobbins123 for helping me bring this one to life, and to my teams at @brillbuilding and @wearetheguard for believing in me, this song, and everything we’re building.

I’ve been making music for a long time. I’ve had some incredible highs, plenty of lows, and more than a few moments where it would’ve been easier to pack it in. But I’m still here, still making records, still believing in these songs and still betting on myself.

To all my Recording Academy voting member homies out there — please keep an ear and an eye out for THE BEST IS YET TO COME. in the first round of voting. If it speaks to you, I’d be incredibly grateful for your consideration — and please share it with your fellow voting members.

And to the KONGREGATION. — keep this one in your hearts, minds and speakers. Share it. Sing it. Send it to somebody who needs to hear it. You guys have carried these songs with me through a hell of a lot.

Maybe, just maybe, we can carry this one all the way to a nomination 🙌🏻

So excited to announce that my client @jameswimbleymusic has signed a publishing deal with @brillbuilding! 🎉

James, it has been such an honor watching you grow. You’ve worked so hard to develop your voice and your vision, and I couldn’t be more excited for everything ahead. I can’t wait to see your music continue to grow, reach new audiences, and make its way into even more corners of the world. ❤️

A very special thank you to @michaelbarkoff for negotiating this agreement for James and for always looking out for him, and to the entire Brill team, especially @carolcarl and @_benjamingroff, for believing in what we’re building and being excited to help us take it even further.

And of course, thank you to @susykosmin for always being his number one fan (but I’m right behind).

So proud of this team and so excited for this next chapter. Let’s go! 🚀

Black Moth Super Rainbow at The Belasco in Los Angeles. This is Thomas Fec’s project, who’s also behind TOBACCO. One of the coolest shows I caught over the summer ... and proud to have them on the Brill Building publishing roster.

#VINYL available for purchase @licoricepizzarecords online shop

“A true windows-down, volume-up record, it effortlessly balances radio-ready pop-rock, 1970s Jeff Lynne-style arrangements, Rundgren-esque bombast, and high-energy glam.”

Sargeant Pepper Grinder is OUT🥀❣️ A mostly upbeat response to grief and loss, people have been saying it's got Redhead energy😲 I've been getting over-the-top notes from folks saying how much they love it, and considering I was thinking about shelving it, that really means the world to me🙏🥹🤘
