Next month two of the feature films I wrote and produced (and one which I also directed) will be STREAMING ACROSS VARIOUS PLATFORMS!!! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥

First up, @tailscaliforniafilm will be available for streaming in just a few short weeks starting October 6th! Huge thanks @mpxfilms for taking on this film for distribution and getting everything setup for us. They’re great to work with! Endless thanks to my incredible co-writer and co-producer (and star of the film) @theballerjb for helping to carry this movie to this point! 🙏🙏🙏 Shout out to our director @christinemachlin and co-lead @lizzyw36 for all their hard work and dedication 🙌🙌🙌

Then later on in the month beginning on October 30th, @aprivateinvestigationfilm will be hitting platforms for streaming! 😁😁😁 I can’t thank my leads @caitlin.grace.u @tru_cisco @nataliepolisson and co-producer @brianharrisonmack enough! 💪💪💪 Y’all were the best group to work with on this one! Happy to be teaming again with @deskpopfree4all to get this film distributed! Thank you so much for taking this film on!

Great feeling to have both of these films reaching streaming services so close together, as last year I had the pleasure of having both of them at @simifilmfest and both nominated for Best Of Ventura County, with @tailscaliforniafilm ultimately taking the award! Swipe to see all the fun details! 😊😊😊

Cheers, everyone!!! 🍻🍻🍻

Continuing my trip back through the @goldenstatefilmfestival … next up was the main event — the @tailscaliforniafilm screening! 🎬❤️

Getting to watch Tails California on the big screen at the legendary @chinesetheatres in Hollywood was such a special experience. There’s just something surreal about seeing a film you spent so long working on playing at such an iconic place. 🎥🍿

Even better was getting to share the experience with so many of our friends, cast, crew and supporters who came out to see the film. ❤️

After the screening, we had a Q&A where we got to talk about the film, the process of making it and some of the journey that went into bringing Tails California to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us and to the @goldenstatefilmfestival for having us and giving Tails California the opportunity to screen at such an incredible venue! 🙏🎬

And of course, so grateful to my co-writer/co-producer @ryanawiller, our director @christinemachlin, and our entire cast and crew who made this film possible. ❤️

Another pretty special stop on the Tails California adventure. 🎬❤️

Continuing my trip back through last year’s @simifilmfest, we’ve officially made it to the grand finale — Awards Night! 🏆🎬❤️

I was so honored to be nominated for Best Actress for @tailscaliforniafilm alongside such an incredibly talented group of women. I had the chance to see many of their performances throughout the festival, and they were amazing, so simply being included in that category felt pretty special.

The award ultimately went to the wonderful Jane Kaczmarek — yes, the mom from Malcolm in the Middle 😆 — which made it an especially fun category to be part of.

Tails California also had my incredibly talented co-star @lizzyw36 nominated for Best Supporting Actress and our fabulous director @christinemachlin nominated for Best Emerging Director. And then came the big one…

TAILS CALIFORNIA WON BEST OF VENTURA COUNTY! 🏆🙌

Such an incredible way to end the festival. A huge thank you to my co-writer/co-producer @ryanawiller, our director @christinemachlin, and our entire cast and crew who helped bring this film to life. This award belongs to all of you. ❤️

And since this is my final post looking back at SVFF 2025, an especially huge thank you to @katiegaribaldi and @composerjoe for creating such an amazing festival. From opening night to the filmmaker events, our screening and awards night, you made the filmmakers truly feel celebrated.

Now they’re getting ready for the 4th Annual Simi Valley Film Festival next month, and I hear it’s going to be even bigger and better — if that’s even possible! 😆🎬

Congratulations Joe, Katie and the entire SVFF team. I can’t wait to see what year four has in store for you!

And with that… that’s a wrap on my trip back through SVFF 2025. 🎬❤️

Continuing my trip back through our time at the @simifilmfest last September, next up was one of the biggest moments of the week — the Sunday matinee screening of @tailscaliforniafilm 🎬❤️

But before the big screening, the amazing Angela Sommer, @ar13sommer, hosted our cast and crew for the sweetest pre-party brunch at her home. We got to spend some time together by the pool, eat, relax and celebrate before heading over to the festival for the big event. Such a beautiful way to start the day. ☀️ Fun fact: Angela also previously opened up her home to us to film part of Tails California. We are so grateful for your support of the film! 🙏

Then it was finally time to see Tails California on the big screen! We had an amazing group of cast and crew there with us, along with so many friends and supporters who came out to see the film. Afterward, we got to stick around for a Q&A, followed by plenty of red carpet photos and celebrating. 🎥

There is something really special about getting to sit in a theater and watch something you worked so hard on with an audience — and getting to share that moment with so many of the people who helped make the film happen made it even better.

Shout out to my co-producer and co-writer @ryanawiller, who has been such an important part of bringing Tails California to life and has been there through it all. 📽️🍿

And a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support Tails California, and to our cast and crew who were there to celebrate with us — our director @christinemachlin, DP @brilliantandrew, composer @jensyboy, cast @nelsontynes_, @emilysargeant5, @erikrolandorozet and @vic.godales, our grip @capturetheshotphotography, and our gaffer @kingjay_wvtsij. ❤️

And of course, another huge thank you to @katiegaribaldi and @composerjoe for making the entire festival experience so special. 🎬

Definitely a day to remember. ✨

🎬 Behind the Song. Behind the Story. 💙

This is a little BTS from a documentary & music video project that have both taken far longer than my standards.

The reality is… creativity doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

Sometimes you’re balancing a full-time job (because health insurance means access to the insulin that keeps you alive), raising your children, managing Type 1 diabetes, and trying to hold onto the dream at the same time.

The filmmaker you’ll see at the end of this clip also lives with Type 1 diabetes. We both had a vision to release these projects, but without the resources to hire editors, we’ve been doing it ourselves, one step at a time, whenever life allows.

It’s not the timeline I hoped for, but I still believe these stories matter.

If even one person feels seen, encouraged, or a little less alone because of this work… it’ll be worth every delay.

So for now, here’s a little behind the scenes.

One day, I’ll get to share the whole story. 💙

In the meantime, you can stream my song “Coast” on all streaming platforms as well as “You Are Not Alone.” These songs were made for the diabetes community FOR FREE…. I’m so grateful to the music producers, engineers and filmmakers who donated their time & charged little to nothing for me to get here.

Because god knows we pay enough for our INSULIN 🤦🏽‍♀️
