There’s just something so special about nationals week. It’s the long rehearsals, the excitement before stepping on stage, the little moments in between, and getting to experience it all with the people who make dance feel like home. I’m beyond proud of everything this team accomplished and even more grateful for the friendships and memories we made along the way. So thankful for this incredible week. Forever grateful to wear these team colors and dance beside such amazing girls. Also a huge thank you to my incredible dance teachers for their endless love, patience, and dedication. Thank ya’ll for believing in us, pushing us to be our best, and making Nationals such an unforgettable experience. I am so grateful for everything you do! @creativedancer @abarone2 @jamiefazzio @miakbarone @maryann_deangelis I can’t believe I only have one more season left with this incredible team that is like my favorite! Also took 2 amazing master classes 1 with 2 of my favorite teachers; thank you @gagewayne_ and @colbytaylor_ 🤍🩷🖤(the littles definitely approve of Drew) #nationals26 #cds #ilovemyteam #15years

15 years of dance! I am beyond proud to be a part of this beautiful team, this team is my second family! Thank you @abarone2 for everything and every opportunity you have given me, I wouldn’t be who I am today without your guidance and support! Thank you to all the cds staff for everything this year, it truly has been amazing even though I had a hard start! 🤍🩷🖤 —In the beginning of September after a weekend of dance I started to feel pain in the ball of my foot, from then on I was in and out of a boot, as well as many different doctors offices and physical therapists, and the worst thing, I wasn’t able to dance for 4 months. I completely lost myself without dance and having to sit and watch for 4 months. After many many tears, I finally got a definite answer, 3 doctors later, and it was that I was born with 3 sesamoid bones in my toe while your only supposed to have 2, and me being in a sport that is barefoot and extremely heavy on feet, made the bone start swelling from the inside-out, they called it bone marrow edema. There was many things we could do, a metal insert in my shoe (its impossible to wear a metal insert b/c I danced barefoot), surgery to remove the extra bone (I would have been out my entire junior year and some of my senior year), many different types of injections (it was possible that nerves and tendons could get damaged and I possibly would never be able to dance again), or I could go completely non-weight barring for 2 weeks and go from there. The only logical option for me with dance was todo those 2 weeks with no weight and I did! The day I got off of crutches I went straight back to the studio and danced, it was supper sore but I just continued to dance, go to PT, and wrap it with support on the area. I wrapped it till there was no more swelling. Finally, could stop wrapping it in May, 6 months later. I was so happy to have dance back, I felt like myself again! Thanks to all my teachers for all the support and patience during this time! @jamiefazzio @abarone2 @miakbarone @maryann_deangelis I can’t believe I only have one season left after this!
