POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The last couple of months I’ve been working on a big painting (big for me anyway!)
This watercolour on canvas is 6ft wide and 30” high and was commissioned by Brisk and Brew - a wonderful new coffee shop in Edmonton’s Allendale neighbourhood.
Today I got to hang it and it looks perfect!

I also got to enjoy a delicious carrot cake scone with my latte - a little reward for a job well done.

Thanks to the owners for trusting me with this memory of their new lives as Coffee shop owners :)

🖤📚 COUNTDOWN TO BRISK & BREW — WHAT WOULD I MISS IF I BECAME FAMOUS?

What would I miss about being a local author if The Void became a huge success? 👀

That's the question I was asked in this video, and it's an interesting one to think about.

There's something special about being a local author. Meeting readers face-to-face, connecting with other artists, being part of Edmonton's creative community, and getting to share something I've built with the people around me.

The bigger The Void grows, the more people I hope it reaches. But I never want to lose that connection to the community where it all started. 🖤

And speaking of connecting with the community…

☕ Come meet me at Brisk & Brew Coffee House!

🖤🎨 COUNTDOWN TO BRISK & BREW — WHY I LOVE BEING AN AUTHOR AND ARTIST

One of my favourite things about being both an author and an artist is the community it creates.

I get to build a world through writing, bring its characters to life through art, and then share it with people who connect with what I've created. Whether it's meeting readers at Indigo, talking to fellow artists at conventions, or discovering new local spaces, every interaction adds something special to this journey.

That's what I love about creating. It brings people together through stories, art, and imagination. 🖤

And that's exactly what I'm looking forward to at my upcoming signing at Brisk & Brew Coffee House!

🖤📚 WHAT IS THE VOID?

What if the city you know is hiding a world you've never seen?

The Void is a dark urban fantasy set in Edmonton, where magic, mystery, and an ancient supernatural world exist beneath the surface of everyday life.

But this isn't just a story about magic. It's about secrets, the choices we make, the bonds we form, and how difficult it can be to tell right from wrong when the truth isn't what you expected.

And the best part? The story takes place right here in Edmonton.

The city is familiar. The darkness hiding within it is anything but.

Come discover The Void at my upcoming author signing at Brisk & Brew Coffee House! ☕🖤

☕🖤 THE VOID IS COMING TO A LOCAL CAFÉ!

I’m really excited to finally share this one!

I’ll be doing an author signing at Brisk & Brew Coffee House on October 25 from 10 AM–2 PM! 📚☕

This one is especially exciting because they actually reached out to me about having The Void at their café. As a local Edmonton author, getting invited into another local space like this is such a cool opportunity.

I’ll have The Void: Volume 1 & Volume 2 available, and I’ll be there to chat, sign books, and hopefully introduce a few more people to the world I’ve been building. 🖤

So come grab a coffee, say hi, and meet a local author!
