#Grazerimprofest 2026, day two

● Stefan Tiefengraber, Analog Audio to Video D.I.Y. Soldering-Workshop

This full-day, hands-on hardware hacking workshop teaches participants how to convert sounds directly into visual video images by modifying a VGA test pattern generator board. Following a theoretical introduction and the modification of the electronics, participants will experiment with the audiovisual representation of audio sources during a jam session.

Participation fee: 20 euros. Register by Aug. 25 at schaumbad@mur.at

● #annettegiesriegl, The Gathering "Challenge and Joy" is an improvisation space for sound, movement and all other forms of artistic expression. Founded in London in the 1990s by Maggie Nicols and the London Improvisers Collective, among others, it is intended to provide space for spontaneous improvisation. People who are interested in improvisation "gather" without any specific content to express their creativity through communication.

● Anabel Scheffold also known as Brita Brutal, is a contemporary Austrian artist and performer who specializes in sculpture, jewelry, and large-scale installations. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in Nora Schultz’s class. Her works engage intensively with the psychology and materiality of places. In doing so, she explores the tension between nature and urban space, as well as their impact on the collective psyche.

● Laci Sárkány's Play-Fight is not about winning or losing. It is an opportunity to explore what happens within us when we have an intense and honest—yet at the same time caring and respectful—encounter with another person. It focuses on body and mind awareness, consent, emotional processes, and the learning opportunities that arise through play. It's a playful and consensual practice that combines movement, wrestling, and human connection. It offers a "safer space" to explore strength and vulnerability, competition and cooperation, while staying present with ourselves and others. Through conscious play, participants can discover new ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and relating authentically.

The Minor Goddesses' Collective Oracle performance by @elisabeth_von_samsonow

Warm memories of the summer of 2023 return, when artist Elisabeth von Samsonow staged a spectacular performance on the MQ Summer Stage (MuseumsQuartier Vienna).

Taking place around the summer solstice, the performance unfolded as a form of “cosmic theatre”. The MuseumsQuartier became a stage for a slowly rotating “small Earth,” revealing a great earth drama with a flare of sounds, atmospheres, and lights, featuring The Dissident Goddesses, the Wotan-Klan, and Gabriel Krausshar, supported by @rhizomaticcircus and friends.

The performance was accompanied by a “carpet-beater ballet,” conceived as a sublime human-machine ensemble—an unfolding choreography of repetition, gesture, and collective rhythm.

It was such a pleasure to take part in the carpet-beater ballet—unforgettable moments. 💫💫💫

The program was curated by @verena_kaspar_eisert

Is it still Throwback-Thursday if it’s only a week ago? With the abrupt end of summer it sure feels like a lot longer in the past! It was such a blast to be a part of @deceptive_gift_in_vienna and perform in the public space during @wienwoche ! The crowd was amazingly cooperative and my alter ego, the cook, was glad to have many helpers for carrying the marvelous props by Anna Grebennikova … which we also loved to sacrifice later on for our revolutionary spirit song intermezzo. It was a weird and beautifully chaotic piece in the best ways. Now zoom in to those dark under eye circles of the working class and swipe through the amazing costumes by @aylyuusha
