Our 1st Movement + Social + Support Group in Canoga Park (Athletic Society) We had our 1st In-Person Movement & Support Group on Monday! It was a great start, and we are looking forward to the next one in November. We started with a Movement class learning about different types of hand therapy to improve grip strength and dexterity. Then, we worked with the tidal tank, a water filled ball used for functional balance & stability training. Last, we used a soft, low to the ground balance beam to practice tandem walking. We had plenty of time after Movement drills to chat & discuss important topics such as Off Time with Medications and How to Improve Sleep - such as Meditation which when done daily and consistently can help improve sleep quality. And of course, we had a few Halloween treats to take home! This notice just showed up regarding the second FB page I started last night after having my 18 year old account disabled with no way to recover thousands of photos, my spouses memorial page & all the groups I started. I honestly believe it is due to my political views & many of my friends are now being restricted due to the fact that they are my friends. The music is specifically for the people who disabled my account and stole my intellectual property aka my photos.

This was my first day back teaching @neurowellness.alliance after being off for nearly a month in Spain! Hiked approx 74 miles in 6 days on the Camino Santiago & traveled to Barcelona for World Parkinson Congress. Met some incredible people, but nothing like being back with my fighters. They really are my unending passion and why I do what I do every single day. Despite the heat wave we're having here in SoCal, 11 people showed up Thurs morning to get in their workout. This is the last 60 seconds. Warriors - every single one of them ❤️🥊💯 Reposted @britag5170 Today was Jennifer's return to teaching class after completing the Camino De Santiago and attending the WPC in Spain. High heat was not going to stop us from taking her class which is never easy and never should be. 💪

Well here it is 🤗 I wanted to make a video to showcase our amazing YOPD community who have been so supportive to me since getting diagnosed and who are continually supporting one another to navigate this unforseen journey we're all on. I want to do all I can to raise awareness and help the fight, but I'm not great with words or informative posts. Thankfully there are others that fill that role online 😅  I've always liked to be creative in anyway I can so got the idea to make this vid and hopefully it may help someone newly diagnosed to see that life isn't over when you hear the word 'Parkinsons'. Sure there are tough times and ups and downs, but one thing is for sure, we don't give up and we do all we can to live life to the fullest. Thank you to everyone who gave their permission for me to use their posts, and to all the legends out there not in the video, I just haven't met you yet but look forward to doing so. Forget the stereotype... We are the prototype... Of the YOPD warriors! Can you get an active workout AND train your brain? Absolutely 💯 We had a friendly competition on the Reax Lights @reaxingusa Got to see my awesome friend Jules @throughjuleseyes for the 1st time in about 3 years. She gave me the biggest hug when I saw her. Miss those ❤️ For any of our fighters @neurowellness.alliance , Jules will be making a guest appearance in class tomorrow. Yay! 😀
