The summer between elementary school and middle school was intended to be a transformational one. I wanted to show up to sixth grade as a whole new me than the little idiot who’d just graduated fifth grade. That new me was gonna be BLOND!

My neighbor mentioned that she’d heard that sitting outside in the sun with your hair doused in lemon juice did the trick and that if I did that all summer long, I’d likely be, like, platinum blond. I proceeded to spend the duration of the next three months *covered* in lemon juice. Did I turn blond? Not in the slightest. But I did waste a lot of lemons and got several bee stings, so that was neat #bless

And now, a HAIR roundup to brighten that Thursday feed. BTW, want you to know that you’re having a FABULOUS hair day, love what you’re doing with it today!! And should you not have hair, I want you to know that your scalp looks shiny and nice and is shaped perfectly XOXO

Did you know that axolotls never fully grow up, staying in their larval stage their whole lives? Native to small areas of Lake Xochimilco in Mexico City, axolotls are critically endangered; they face challenges from urbanization and invasive species in the area.

While they may look cute, they are not good pets, and their survival depends on protecting their natural habitat. This video was created in partnership with Encyclopaedia Britannica to help shed light on the importance of protecting axolotls and their delicate ecosystem.
