Wow wow!!! After three years of waiting, I can FINALLY say this commissioned headpiece, Warrior, is with the collector! This piece became one of my most accomplished experiments to date and one of the coolest 3 dimensional works I’ve created. My friend asked me to create this for him in January of 2020. This is a special one-of-a-kind piece that couldn’t go in the mail… so it waited and waited until all was “in the clear” for another festival year to meet in the desert during thanksgiving. In fact, the festival is happening as I write this. I just took two days to drive to Moab and back for this special delivery. And…the drive was TOTALLY worth it, being in person to experience the transfer! 🤗
.
This piece meshes my past social/photography life with my current hermit/studio art life. 😆
It was a good reminder of the friendships made way back when. There were sooo many hugs from old friends.💛💛💛

Also check slide number 3 to see my friend Britnee repping one of my bleach hand-painted sweatshirts!
.
Anywho- I’m feeling a ton of love from the friend support and oh so ready to get to the new works ahead!
.
.
If you’re still reading, thanks for delighting in this personal treasure with me. You’re the real ones. 💛😜

Facebook told me today that @katiefrayler and I have been friends for 8 years as of today, but I could find the post again so I decided to make my own to celebrate one of my best friends, the baddest bitch ever. Some of these pics are crazy old! Back when we lived in Boulder in 2013-2015 and were learning acro and Slacklining together. Even doing prAna fashion show 😂…

You are one of few friends who is in the center of the Venn diagram of almost every community and sector of my life… Moab community, Denver community, acro, slacklining, skiing, climbing, music taste, yoga, teaching, wfh, wine affinity, the appropriate mix of bougieness and dirtbaggery, codenames, fishbowl, travel… all of it.

You are one of my life partners and a random Thursday 8 year Facebook friendiversary is a good enough reason to celebrate it as any. Keep being you, boss babe.

Enneagram 8️⃣ sisterhood for 8️⃣ years so far, 8️⃣ more years… and for liiiiiiiiife!

Happy international women’s day! I’m feeling pretty blessed to have so many incredible women in my life. I have a family full of women who love to laugh, a workplace full of women who stand up and speak their mind, a circle of friends who keep me living, and a bad ass crew of women in my hobbies! Here are some photos of just a few of them. Thank you all for the amazing people you are in the world. I’m a better Lani everyday because of you.
