Here is the full video of our trip and reaction to the eclipse. This app decided the first minute was all it wanted to put up the last time!

Design by @britparlart
Animation by @flamesurfer5000
Edited and scored by yours truly

I hope you enjoy! Happy Earth Day! Let’s work towards a future where we can continue to be little specks on this incredible rock we’re lucky enough to call home!

This is a little edit of our couple days at Jackson Falls for the eclipse because it was such a good time and deserves to be encapsulated.

We climbed a lot, and our group saw the total eclipse from on top of and around a freestanding rock tower. I also had my handheld recorder and captured everyone’s reaction to the eclipse.

I’d been planning on being in that spot at that moment for almost two years, and the fact that I had so many friends willing to be there with me meant more than I can describe!

We got home that night, and I recorded some piano at 2am. I believe they say strike whilst the irons is hots? I ended up using that to accompany our reaction, and later score this video.

Then @flamesurfer5000 went and hit us with the awesome animation to accompany that audio, and @britparlart gifted the world this beautiful design, and now it’s all in one place, and I love it and love my friends and love the sun and the moon for making it all happen, and with such style can you even believe it?

That is all, happy day

basking in that post-solar eclipse glow after spending a weekend camping & climbing with my people!!! I love climbing and I love connecting with other human beans.

backstory on the art: I made this design a few weeks ago and was sitting on it because it didn’t feel finished. it was originally just hands holding the sun/moon without the outer glow. turns out all I needed was to witness an epic cosmic event to gather the inspiration to finish it :)
