POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I found so much peace in my life in the last few months that I haven’t really felt like being on here speaking, unless I have something to say.

I hope this message resonates with you.

The big tricks were over, the Gospel message had been shared, and people were responding to the invitation. After a show in front of thousands of people, this was the part that reminded us why we were out here in the first place. As I watched people coming out of the crowd, I recognized a group of skateboarders coming over to talk to me. I’d prayed with them at another event a few weeks earlier. They’d already responded once, and I was curious why they were coming forward again.

The first time we met was in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was mid-August, it was hot, and the parking lot was full. Our guys were riding BMX, the skateboard team did their part, and Stephen Baldwin, “Stevie B,” was hyping the crowd and sharing his story. Together we’d turned a parking lot into a skatepark.

Our friend Brock Gill was at this event and shared the Gospel message. After the invitation, the athletes and local volunteers talked with people and prayed with them. We gave them devotional books and collected contact information for the local churches to follow up. At least that was the plan for what came next after we left town.

I connected with four or five skateboarders. We prayed together and talked for a bit, and then they went to meet the pro skaters. I went to sign autographs. Later we loaded the ramps, headed to the hotel, and got ready for the next stop.

I didn’t really think about those guys again. There were other cities, other parking lots, and other people to meet. Somewhere back in Lincoln were a few guys I’d prayed with, but my attention had already moved down the road.

Three weeks later, we were in Omaha doing it all again. When people started responding to the invitation, those same skateboarders came over to talk. I asked them something like, didn’t you guys accept Jesus at the last event?

Their answer confirmed something I’d already been wrestling with.

Comment “more” and I’ll send you the link to the whole story.

The Grand Canyon is simply that, Grand. I could have taken a million pictures and never gotten tired of the view! On to Seligman tomorrow and eventually staying in Barstow, CA. Seligman is the town from the movie Cars, super excited to see it!

Well, I fell behind a little bit in posting so here are the last couple of days. we went by the Cadillac Ranch in Texas. after that, we started to make our way toward Albuquerque. While there we went up on the Sandia tram, the third longest tram in the world. The next day we rode up the turquoise trail towards Santa Fe. Yesterday we rode across the continental divide, through Gallup, New Mexico, and finally we’re standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona. Today we are off to the Grand Canyon! Let’s Ride!!! #route66 #route66roadtrip #motorcyclecamping #goldwing1800 #rollahome @brockgill @lean.into.adventure
