I am elated to announce my next dance production and even more excited that it will be in my hometown of Long Beach, CA! In the Key of Life will kick off Black history month and serve as a celebration and collaborative artist interpretation of the 50th anniversary of Stevie Wonder’s classic album, “Songs in the Key of Life”.

I am seeking dancers, choreographers, musicians, singers, poets, of all genres and styles (hip hop, ballroom, djembe, spoken word… if you see yourself in this album, we want you!) Submissions require a 1-2 paragraph proposal as well as 2 samples of previous work that are finished products. Dancers, please no dance films. All must be available Feb. 1st-7th and available for all 3 performances. Fri & Sat evening as well as a Sunday matinee.

Please share this opportunity with anyone you think may be interested. We are hopeful to connect with new and unique artists within the community. Artists selected for this project will be paid. All applicants must be 18 and over.

Be Creative and get your submissions in on time! Due by Oct. 20th at 10pm. Email all submissions and questions to SanchezJonesDance@gmail.com
