What do picking up your kid, staying independent at 70, and getting stronger for your sport have in common? 👀

They all require strength you can USE.

That’s why the trap bar deadlift earns a spot in our training. 💪🏾

🛒 For everyday life: Build the legs, hips, grip, and trunk strength you use to lift groceries, move furniture, and carry your kids.

👴🏾 For older adults: With the right setup and load, practice lifting with control and build strength that supports everyday independence. We can elevate the handles and progress from where YOU are.

🏈 For athletes: Build lower-body strength and, when programmed for speed, train power that supports sprinting and jumping alongside sport-specific work.

The weight sits around your body, giving many people a comfortable setup to learn, load, and progress.

We’re coaching the brace, the push through the floor, and the controlled finish….not just counting plates.

If you have trained with me then you’ve probably mastered this movement, or I’ve at least lectured you how important it is. If you don’t want to take my word for it the listen to @drjohnrusin

Train like an athlete. Build strength for YOUR life.

Who’s got trap bar deadlifts in their program? Drop a 💪🏾 below.

The Time is HERE !

To every athlete stepping into a new season… handle biz 🤝.

You put in the early mornings, extra reps, hard sessions, and the work nobody sees. Now it’s time to trust your preparation, compete with confidence, and KEEP GOING…

And to the parents: thank you for trusting us with your athletes. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Being able to coach, develop, challenge, and support them is something we truly appreciate.

Proud of every athlete we had the opportunity to work with this offseason.

Go make the work count.

WIN. RECOVER. REPEAT.
Train like an athlete. Live like a champion.

BP ‼️

My guy another summer in the books and it’s safe to say it’s been our best one yet. You showed up to day one evaluations mentally focused, and prepare for the summer ahead which each session set and Rep you showed discipline, effort and resilience. I held you to the fire you with stood every degree extremely honored to be your coach/trainer and mentor. I think this summer set you up for great success, but it’s only one link in the chain. One brick on the house have to continue building. Use this momentum and carryover into the season and have an amazing one. I expect nothing less thank you for your commitment. Wishing you good luck and health this season. I’ll catch you in Spokane.

Hockey athletes don’t just need to get stronger…
They need to become more resilient. 🏒⚡️

Today’s lower body session focused on:
✅ Groin strength
✅ Hip stability
✅ Ankle stability & edge control
✅ Deceleration power
✅ Knee injury prevention
✅ Explosive first-step power

Movements like:

* Copenhagen side plank rows
* Banded goblet squats on slopes
* Assault bike max efforts
* Reactive box jumps

…aren’t just “cool exercises.”

They directly translate to:
✔️ Faster skating
✔️ Better change of direction
✔️ More powerful strides
✔️ Reduced groin/knee injuries
✔️ Better stability during contact

Most hockey injuries happen because athletes lack strength and control in the positions they actually play in.

That’s why our training is built around:
🏒 Movement quality
🏒 Strength in skating positions
🏒 Athletic explosiveness
🏒 Long-term durability

If you’re a hockey parent wanting your athlete to move better, stay healthier, and gain an edge this off-season…

OR you’re a hockey athlete serious about leveling up your performance…

📲 DM me “HOCKEY” to get started.

COMMENT “PUCK” and I’ll send you a sample hockey lower-body workout 💪🔥

Training the core the way athletes actually use it. 🏆
Partner banded Pallof + chopper builds:

✅ Core stability under resistance
✅ Anti-rotation strength
✅ Power through controlled rotation
✅ Teamwork + accountability

This isn’t just “core work” — it’s performance training. Train to resist, then explode. 🚀
