Surprise! Baby boy Howard coming February 2027! Brooks and I are absolutely overjoyed that the Lord has given us a son to love, teach, protect, and raise up to be a Godly man. We can’t wait to meet him! 💙🩵💙🩵

In honor of October being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, I wanted to share a little bit of our story. This past April on Good Friday, Brooks and I drove home to Nashville to spend Easter with our families. Later that night, I suddenly experienced extreme abdominal pain and was rushed to the ER. We learned that I was pregnant, but that I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and was bleeding internally. I needed immediate surgery, where doctors discovered that my left ovary had ruptured and they had to remove it. I had also lost over two liters of blood and needed a transfusion. It was the saddest and scariest day of my life, but even in the midst of it, I saw so many blessings from the Lord.

Just a month later at a doctor’s appointment, I was sharing my fears about whether I would ever be able to get pregnant again with only one ovary. In the middle of that conversation, a nurse walked in and told me my routine urine test came back positive for pregnancy. To say I was shocked was an understatement!!!

This journey has been filled with so many emotions, but I keep coming back to John 16:33: “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

I may never understand why we had to lose our first baby in such a traumatic way, but I can trust that God has a good plan for us. I have peace knowing that one day He will wipe away every tear and make all things new.

While we will never forget our first little baby who went to be with Jesus, we are SO incredibly grateful and excited to welcome our miracle boy so soon!!!

He taught me so much about His unwavering joy, peace in His presence, and strength only found in Him. Got to see a glimpse of Heaven! What a God I get to serve!!🤸‍♀️🌈💕

A little piece of my heart will forever belong to this little place in Toccoa, Georgia!
The last 5 weeks have been the most challenging, most joyful, and the most life giving weeks of my life. I will forever be grateful for this place and the people here who brought me so much joy and encouragement.
Thank you Jesus for making me lie down in green pastures and leading me beside still waters. Because that’s exactly what Pinecove was for me this summer.
