It’s a @uconnfootball / @uconnband bye week so we took a family leaf peepin’ 🍁 road trip up through MA/VT/NH. We’re at our hotel near @dartmouthcollege now. We moved to New England five years ago this week and it seems like just yesterday. Best decision our family ever made! Vermont Welcome Center

Normally I’m not one to beg for donations, but this occasion is anything but normal!

The @uconnband has been invited to march in the 100th @macys #ThanksgivingDayParade this November in New York City! We’ve put links at nathanpollman.com so you can pledge/donate directly in Nathan’s name or to the #UCMB in general!

We don’t care which method you use - we just want to make sure everyone gets to go! Thank you! 💙🐾🎺

For today only, your gift towards the UConn Marching Band Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Fund can help them earn bonus points toward prize money.

From @uconnband: “We are so thankful for your support as we embark on this historic journey to one of the world's biggest stages.”

Today the @uconnband debuted their new uniforms and they are 🔥!

I am so glad our kid went 5th-year double-major so he could march in them this season AND in the @macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. (Please see my previous post on how you can donate and help send the #UConn #UCMB to #NYC!)

@uconnfootball lost in an overtime heartbreaker to @cusefootball - but man the band looked good! 😍💙🐾🏈🎺

I’m really glad there’s a couple of weeks before the next @uconnfootball home game so I can have time to get used to the new @apple iPhone 18 Pro Max camera. 🏈🐾💙

But next weekend is the @uconn Homecoming Parade so hopefully I can get some good photos and videos of the @uconnband then. Can’t believe this is N’s last Homecoming as a student! 🎺🥹

Happy weekend everyone!

My son is double majoring as a fifth-year senior at @uconn and he just moved back into Hilltop Apartments a few weeks ago for @uconnband camp (the week before regular move-ins). If things look somewhat familiar, he is in the exact same apartment / bedroom that he had last year.

He has previously lived in the UConn Towers Quad Dorms for his freshman year, in the North Dorms for his sophomore year, and in Busby Suites - then later Garrigus Suites - for his junior year.

All of his “senior year apartment items and decor” are on @shopmy. You can find the link in my bio (ShopMy → “Shelves” → “just meet me at the APT.” shelf). Same for his freshman through junior dorm rooms (“ShopMy → “Shelves” → “dorm sweet dorm” shelf).

Multiple #Garrigus / #Busby | #North / #Towers dorm room move-in day photos & videos, plus his 2025 #Hilltop move-in, are posted on this account from August 2022-2026 so check them out! If you are planning on moving into Hilltop Apartments and have any questions just drop them in the comments or DM me!

** These items were purchased with my own money or received from Amazon Vine. The sellers had no idea I was making this post and I received no compensation or incentive for doing so. I just wanted to share them! **

@jeremychentv did a feature on @uconnband for @nbcconnecticut and we peeped our kid!

The @uconnfootball season opener is this weekend and @uconn will also be marching in this year’s @macys Thanksgiving Day Parade! N says they have about 350 in the #UConn #marchingband Pride of Connecticut for 2026-27. It’s his last season of marching so it’s very bittersweet, but I can’t wait for kickoff! 💙🏈🎺🐾

N is all finished up with @uconnband camp so we headed to Storrs to pick him up and enjoy a belated birthday dinner at @the_bidwell_tavern_and_cafe before dropping him back off at his apartment for another year at @uconn. Classes start tomorrow. Good luck in year 5! 😘♥️🎺💙🐾 Birthday dinner at Bidwell Tavern

Happy birthday to @brokenfiction! Tonight we went to @harrysplacecolchester100years for his birthday dinner and parked next to another Ford Bronco. They also happened to be @ou_football fans and gave us a bronco duckie (having no idea that it was Todd’s birthday or that we used to collect them)! Then we got ice cream and came home to watch NCAA football and finally put our sign back up after what feels like an eternity. I love you so much Pookie! No one wears a birthday crown / sash better than you! 😘🦞♥️🦞 A very happy birthday to his partner in crime cinemuseig as well! 🥳🎂🎉 Bronco duckie

We noticed one of our favorite local farm stands finally reopened and they started filling up bins this week. There were rumors they weren’t coming back (Gutt Family Farm has been in Glastonbury since the 18th century!) - and we were starting to get worried that they really were gone for good. But this very welcome sight couldn’t come at a better time with everything freshly grown right here in town!

We came home with corn and peaches and can’t wait to check back for more soon! Gutt Family Farm Glastonbury CT
