Head Up Formation Camp ⭐ training for the Women’s Upright Records this fall

It was a fun couple of days of upright flying, focusing on bigway fundamentals, and getting some solid training in together during Chicks Rock weekend. Awesome flying all around!

Many thanks to everyone who came out, to @chrisdarebear for sharing your expertise, and to @skydiveelsinore for being a great host. 💜

We’re planning more sky & tunnel training days over the coming weeks. If you’re interested in joining us, send me a DM. Let’s keep building together.

After setting two records at [con-sequentials] the ladies opted for some headup practice. Please enjoy this video of the ladies crushing it on their feet!

We had a 3 great jumps to practice approaches, breakoffs, exiting a base and rebuilding the base.. oops, and docking, docking, docking! You’ll certainly catch some of these ladies heading to the Women’s Upright World Record (WUWR) this November.

VFS is a great way to practice those headup skills! Grab your ladies and get out there in the sky for some VFS. Got questions about the world record? Message us! Two of our ladies @michelle.hart3 and @colorbarf are Regional Captains!

A look back at Project 19 – Women’s Vertical World Record

Project 19 brought together over 100 female skydivers from around the world for one of the most ambitious all-female formation skydiving projects ever attempted.

After years of preparation, training camps, and global selection events, the team gathered in Eloy, Arizona in November 2022 for a six-day record window to build the largest head-down formations ever flown by women.

On the first record day, the team successfully set a 71-way Women’s Vertical World Record, followed later the same day by an 80-way formation, both achieved on first attempts, marking a major milestone in the progression of the discipline.

Further attempts followed, including larger build-ups such as a 97-way, demonstrating the scale, coordination, and technical precision required at this level, even when not all formations could be officially completed as records.

More than a record event, Project 19 represented years of international collaboration, training, and community building within women’s vertical formation skydiving.
