This coffee does so much more than wake you up.
It symbolizes safety, security, dignity and hope.

Thinking about my friends that have become family and grateful to be a part of the mission. @brokenribcoffee_com

Leaving @lovedoes headquarters inspired by my friend @jodylluke and her team’s global impact!

This🚪door!?!?! Back in the early 2000s @bobgoff and a team of lawyers traveled to Uganda to bring justice to their overwhelmed judicial system. He was so successful that the government of Uganda sent him the front door of the prison that was no longer needed to unjustly incarcerate innocent people!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free” Luke 4:18

It was a joy to host Jaime Trujeque from Casa Hogar Alegre who hosted the Valley Christian Chiapas IMPACT team during February break. BEI & IMPACT missions will continue to build this partnership with Broken Rob Coffee to support the good work Casa Hogar does caring for 100 orphans in Tuxtla, Mexico #vchswarriors #socialinnovation #vchsalumni #casahogaralegre #james127

You guys!

I’m turning 60 in a few months, and I want to mark the occasion by hosting my own house build, open to everyone I know who’s interested.

I’m tentatively looking at October 16-18 but I need to know if there is enough interest (because I’m honestly a little scared of the fundraising). There would be a participation cost which goes toward your stay and the cost of building materials. Obviously the more I can fundraise, the less the cost for everyone.

So what do you say? Want to stay steps from the beach, eat amazing food, and get babies off of dirt floors?

In honor of our @vcs_impact department sending out high school and junior high students on missions trips this week, we want to take a look back at one of our previous Impact trips to Chiapas, Mexico.
We brought a group of 14 high school students, along with Ms. Meyer and Ms. Ninan from @vcsbei to a place known for its coffee, but also known for being one of the poorest states in all of Mexico.
We partnered with @brokenribcoffee_com who’s mission it is to help oppressed coffee farmers get out of extreme poverty by helping them distribute their coffee in a much more profitable way, and using a portion of these profits to give back to @casahogaralegre an orphanage in Chiapas with over 100 kids who have been abandoned by their families and government.
Our VCS students had the opportunity to spend quality time with these kids, playing with them and doing upkeep around their facilities.
We had the opportunity to meet one of the coffee farmers and tour their rural coffee plantation to learn more about what these farmers face each day.
Then we were able to explore some of the natural wonders and historical sites near San Cristobal.
Our Valley students and BEI team are now busy coming up with ideas and business plans to help bring more support to Broken Rib Coffee and Casa Hogar Allegra’s mission.
Be on the lookout for some exciting (and delicious) ways for you to join this story and help change lives in Chiapas.
