Find someone who thinks you’re beautiful even when you don’t. Not when your makeup’s done. Not when you’re trying. When you’re sweaty, tired, and just being a person. That kind of love makes you see yourself differently.. I don’t say that lightly and as somebody who definitely dated a dirtbag or two before I met my husband I promise I know how hard it is but know this: you are worthy🫶

I am a curvy and plus-size fashion blogger based in Phoenix, AZ, sharing affordable and luxury fashion that makes you feel confident and fabulous. Think a mix of high and low cost items to maximize your budget, save money, and splurge when it counts—I’m your girl. Think workwear, date night, casual looks, and more. I earn commissions on direct-to-retailer links. If you’re ever wondering about sizing, every link I send includes details on what size I’m wearing and fit notes to help you shop confidently. I also love spotlighting local Arizona gems—whether it’s a patio brunch spot, a weekend getaway, or an outfit that works for triple-digit temps. If you’re in the southwestern states—especially Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, or even SoCal and Vegas—you’re gonna love what’s coming.

Today I met my younger self for coffee.
I arrived on time in athleisure.
She was 30 minutes late, her hair in loose curls, wearing a sundress, a cropped cardigan, and heels.

She ordered an iced breve caramel macchiato.
I ordered a soy latte, extra hot.

She told me she dreams of doing something creative,
But she’s scared—thinking she needs to pick something safer.
Something stable.
Because deep down, she’s prepared to be alone.

I smiled and told her she’ll go to law school.
And it will be hard.
She’ll graduate.
And then, she’ll end up following her passion anyway.

She looked down at her drink and said,
“I feel torn between two versions of myself:
One where I could be more,
And one where I’m everything they said I was—
Short, fat, and stupid.
Worthless.”

I reached across the table and said,
“You’re wrong. But you are short 😉
But none of that matters as much as you think it does.

And there aren’t two versions of you.
There’s only one—
The one who refuses to wait for life to happen to her.
And that? That’s exactly what will propel you.
The sooner you stop entertaining the idea that you have to choose,
The faster everything will fall into place.”

She asked if she’ll ever be able to become the person she wants to be.
I told her, “Yes, you will.
But you’re going to have to leave people you love behind.
It won’t be easy.”

She asked if she’ll ever find love.
I told her about him.
The tall, protective, strong, handsome man who makes her laugh every single day.
Who looks at her like she’s the most incredible thing he’s ever seen.
Who doesn’t need to complete her—but gives her the grace to be herself.

She stared at me for a long time, then whispered,
“So I am going to be okay?”

I smiled and told her,
“Even better than you can imagine.”
