WE SAT DOWN WITH @thevancouvertimekeeper TO TALK ABOUT HIS MUSIC, THE MANY IDENTITIES, HIS THOUGHTS ON THE VANCOUVER SCENE, AND WHAT’S COMING NEXT 🎙️ At just 21 years old, PackrunnerJay! has been making music since he was around 15, originally getting into it through making joke songs with his friends before becoming heavily inspired by artists like Weiland and Texako and taking rap seriously. We also had to ask about the story behind his two identities. While PackrunnerJay! is simply himself, TheVancouverTimekeeper is a whole character a name he and his best friend came up with while he was visiting him in Nanaimo, wearing his mom’s green flannel trench coat 😭😭 When asked about the current state of Vancouver’s music scene, Jay had some VERY strong opinions 💀 He also gave us his thoughts on the Kirkiversary, named some of his favourite artists to collaborate with, including @bronclair , yentheterrrible (Jaydes) , 800pts, Vlorich, and Texako, and shouted out @ekkstacy as one of his favourite artists in Vancouver. And of course, we couldn’t end the interview without asking the question everyone wants answered… **WHEN ARE WE GETTING REESE’S HUFFS? 👀** Jay says he’s gonna lock back in and finish it 😂 #vancouverunderground #undergroundmusic #rapnews #vancouverartist #artistspotlight

Hit after hit @bronclair hasn’t missed this year yet, and it feels like he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves. He’s always had a name in the underground scene, working alongside some other pretty big names, and this year he’s really been showing that he wants it fr dropping 30+ songs and an EP. Hopefully we can expect a full project soon but I’m not hating the singles at all! He’s one of my favourite artists this year mostly because his lyrics feel relatable, and his beat selection is phenomenal, but as a Canadian it really means something to see a lot more artists in my generation blow up out of Ontario🫶

Who gets first listen tonight?? ICYMI, Lucy’s tape is a collection of demos from 2021-2025 that he posted on his alt SoundCloud account. 40+ songs 😵‍💫 Got some other heat as well though like Six, Zukenee, Dragnutz, etc. Think there’s gonna be 1-2 surprise releases as well announced in a bit.
