Parents need to be radically honest about what higher education has become. If college is leaving kids buried in debt, wasting some of the most formative years of their lives, and preparing them for jobs that may not even exist, then we need to stop pretending every four-year degree is worth it. For a lot of families, it's not just a bad investment, it's a costly detour, and often worse. The good news is there are other paths that can lead to real purpose, real skills, and real success.
